So a while ago i linked a video to my roommates ff6/MLP:FiM romhack in progress well... its out and playable now. It replaces all the characters with characters from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Additionally the story is changed significantly ( on account of all the ponies) and the game is rebalanced to not be as easy. You can download it here http://pony-fantasy-6.com/ or simply laugh/troll his videos chronicling the development of the game here: http://www.youtube.com/user/BossManJohn1 My only contribution to the game was play testing for bugs/balance and a couple lines of dialogue ( that I'm pretty sure he never put in), but if you want something to do until D3 comes out ... Its still FF6 and thus a great game, and different enough from the original that its a semi-new experience. I'll admit that you'll probably want a working knowledge of MLP:FiM to not be confused at who these characters are, but w/e check it out if you like ff6 and can tolerate ponies. |

Hah. that's pretty interesting. I may have to take a look at it at some point. But my pre-D3 stuff is focused around having some nice BBQs with friends and family at my house for Mother's day and such. Huzzah! |

WAY TO RUIN MY FAVORITE FINAL FANTASY GAME WITH PONIES!!! Seriously though, it looks like he put a lot of work into it. I checked out some youtube videos. I used to post on gamefaqs in the FF6 section a lot, and they had a neat hack programs for the FF6 ROM. I used to mess around with that and hex editing a little. Some people had creative additional weapons, bosses, game re-writes, etc. This is by far ths biggest twist on the game I've seen lol. |

There are more ambitious/better done ff6 romhacks, but his is basically done and playable which counts for a lot where these things are concerned =P I have to be honest I doubt anyone form this forum will actually play it, but he did work hard on it, and if you just visit his youtube and see "Oh that's not for me but still pretty frickin' cool" that's all I reasonably expect. |

I wonder which ponies play what character. I actually like that show, but I have a 5 year old daughter, so I have an excuess for watching it lol. |
