With the redesign next month, Sony is dropping its support of the HDD. And since the only game really effected is FFXI for PS2, I think alot of people will be sad. Not that I care, I play FFXI on PC and think the redesign is going to be great. I'm tired of hearing weird sounds from my PS2 as I play some shitty game for it. lol It's also about the size of an XBox controller now. And the width of two DVD cases. |

Yeha I saw some pictures of the new design a while back. I personally hate having this HDD sticking out of the back of ps2 lol. I really wish I could get back on PC, but that requires me to buy a new videocard. I'll just deal with the shitty graphics on ps2, despite my desire to post some screenshots every now and then. (Yarr usually posts something similar to what I want to post anyway, so whatever.) I wonder if they're going to lower the price again with the new design? |

150 bucks. Built in network adapter, LAN capabilites, no more tray (yay!) and really fucking tiny. |

It can't handle the ps2 hdd and it has built in ethernet (high speed internet ) and 56k modem also certain other features like having only one usb port instead of having 2 |

They basically got rid of the biggest problem the tray. Instead you pop the disc in like with GC. And it no longer make sounds when a disc is being read and such. |

It's 150 bucks. You can trade in whatever, but. If you play FFXI on PS2, you cannot play it on the new version. |
