Any of you guys heard of this MMORPG? I stumbled across a site talking about it, so I looked it up. I played D&D as a kid, so I might follow this game, as it appears to be in the early stages. Screen shots: http://www.gamebanshee.com/dndonline/sc ... s.php#null Video: http://www.gamebanshee.com/dndonline/videos.php#null The game actually appears to be an action/rpg in a MMO universe, which is kinda strange. I don't know if I really like that, but at least they are trying to be original. |

well, MMOs really are just an "upgrade" from the table games, like D&D. It looks kind of cool...Hm. Are the graphics nice? Yes. Will I play it? Probably not. It'd need to have kickass gameplay to impress me. |

It might be a cool MMO to pick up after we are all tired of WoW/EQ2, as it appears it won't be out until late 2005. |

I played D&D a little in like grade 8. It was fun, kinda funny though, in the top social circle of my very small school (300-400 people 50ish people in my grade) it was 100% acceptible and "cool" to play D&D and even magic cards haha. Man I feel like a retard looking back at it. When we all got to high school we were kinda like... uhh wtf were we doing. Really, it was messed up, we seriously thought that "cool" people played D&D. |

Haha, I played D&D on and off with my brother and a few of my friends from the age of about 9-13, then I quit because it wasn't cool anymore I guess (not that it was really ever cool, but that's how I thought back then). Oddly enough I got back into D&D briefly my senior year of highschool with a few of my friends, and that lasted about 6 weeks until until we all realized, "ok wtf are we doing?" |

lol... kind of like my story. when i moved to vegas from my current state i met some cool kids(not to nerds... some of most popular white kids in that school) and they were like 'you should play d&d with us. then of course i tell my best friend that only losers play that... after a few months i started playing myself and it was pretty fun i guess. thennn i moved back to where i started at and everyone where i live now thinks that d&d is uber gay... oh well annnyways, i was following this game a few months ago but its too early in development to tell whether or not they are going to make it gay, since it would be impossibly hard to actually make d&d into a fun mmo. (not dissing d&d but the fact that campaigns could only be lengthened by making chars gods and/or leveling them slow wouldnt really work in a mmo... ) |

I was friends with the "in" crowd in High School, and they were the biggest assholes ive ever met, and had some really big problems. D&D could be cool, i've never played it, but who is to say that the popular kids can't get together on a weekend and play some? |

D&D = <3 I still try to gather with friends and whip out the Player Handbook every now and then...now that I moved it'll happen even less, but I know a nearby comic book store that does D&D every week, might look into it, I could always make some new friends =D Forgotten Realms anyone? |
