I posted this on WOW tech support forum but no one seem to have the same problem. Just wondering if any of you actually know anything about this.

Quote:
I've been having problem lately with graphic card. It's not a new card (I have it for about 1.5 -2 years). However, once in awhile when I play either EQ or WoW beta, my monitor would go into power save mode. Basically what happens is I'd play game then all of the sudden my monitor would go into sleep mode (signal light went from green to orange). My computer would still be running but I can't get the monitor to come back on. This issue never happened when I played FFXI (Nov. 03 - Sept. 04).

Does anyone know how to fix it or what might be the cause. The only thing I can think of it's graphic card related but I don't know why it happens with WoW and EQ but not with FFXI.

PS: I have 61.77 for driver.

Try rolling back those 61.77 drivers. I have been having so much trouble with those I was pretty much forced to go back. Easily noticable lower FPS, and on top of that, it completely screwed up fading effects, replacing them with some kinda mosaic garbage?

And it could be an overheating and/or underpowered issue. I know the Geforce FX cards do some really strange stuff if your PSU can't keep up with them, and I guess WoW uses a lot more gfx card features than FFXI ever did.
