Well seems like im having bad luck today >.<; First raids in World of Warcraft wont be handled on my comp and now i cant even play my own PS2!! I was playings NFSU2 and it just started making noises so I turned it off. Then I turned it back on and it just wont load the discs nemore. Damn you sony. This is my second PS2 and im gona get a third because the first two broke 
BTW do you guys know if EBgames or GameStop will buy a broken PS2? |

Try getting one of those cans of air that has a nozzle so you blow it inside the system to clean out the dust. My PS2 was doing the same thing until i used that... |

That's what it sounds like. Probably a fan or something clogged and if it's anything like a computer that would shut it down. Try getting special laser cleaning CDs too if that doesn't work. |

heh I still have my PS2 that first came out when I got it and this have been thru in my 18 wheeler for one year and home damn this thing still runs but sad part is I cant use custom case cuzz first three ps2 that was made will not work but 4 and on will 
damn I did had the address for it that you can order custom color see thru case for PS2 and Xbox but I will find when later tonight when I get off nvm I found it  http://www.clearxbox.com/site/

I think most, if not all PS2's get problems reading discs after a while. I bought a cleaning disc that I use every once. |

dude call sony i called them a full year after my warntee wore off and they still fixed it for free... although i did have to pay like 15$ to ship it to them but when i saw all the new shit they put in it if they had charged me i would have just had to buy a new one lol |

oh well guess i gotta buy a new 1 lol >.<; I tried fixing it by myself cuz sony said i would have to pay em 75 bucks to get it fixed. Now it wont even read discs. But! the noises have stopped lol. |

Im not sure if your buying a ps2 for the ffxi like me or just for other games but i hear that you wont even really know the new ps2 is on because the fan is so quiet, and its seksi new design^^. However no HDD support ; ;...so mad about that IRL! |

well i opened the ps2 and opened the drive while the ps2 was open. Then i saw soooo much fucking dust by the gears i had to clean it lol and it was the problem =) |

heh well I would think there was too much dust in those damn PS2 and I do clean those once a month with my shop vac that will suck the crap out of front and back where the fan is. |

well I forget who posted about PS2 cleaning and adj lazer. Anyways my PS2 finally quit reading my disk :x so I did remember reading that post about doing those cleaning and lazer adj. and it WORKED now its reading all of those disk that it didnt before WOOT  damn I am too good making those kind of repairs.
