Do you play WoW?

No I dont play WoW. Ive sworen off MMORPG's even though all my irl friends are playing WoW now. It seems like something I would like to play but not at this point in my life. Trying to start a relationship sucks and takes too much time, especially when the other person seems to run from relationships.

I just thought the comic was funny. :D

Actually.... I dont know.... I thought about it, and gilsellers aren't as bad in WoW as they are in FFXI.

In fact, they are in some ways beneficial...

Cons:
-Violates TOC of course, and encourages others to violate it.
-Screws up the economy by inflating prices across the board.
(This seems to be the major con, for both FFXI and WoW).

But for WoW, as opposed to FFXI:
-Increases the number of epic items available across the server~.

While its probably true that they will try to inflate the epic items more and more.... as time goes on, less and less people will need these items, since even BETTER ones drop in instances.

And there are no gilsellers that really make it into instances, since thats like a gilseller making it into a cheeseburger dynamis group.~

In a way, I'm glad that there is someone out there farming epic items for us.

Its only possible to rationalize this, b/c money isnt as valuable in WoW as it is in FFXI.

Items aren't resold on AH after being worn... and the best items can't be resold in AH after being picked up! (like Ext. items in FFXI).

Imagine how useless money would be if stuff like leaping boots, ochiudo's kote, archers rings, were all ext items....

And there would be so few ppl camping them too.... people would just camp it to get it for their job and thats it.

It would be like moldavite earrings, which aren't impossible to get b/c they aren't super camped like kote are~.

Money in WoW is just to get a few here and there rare items, and then just your mounts~.... after that ... money is bleh, its all about running instances to get Ext items.
