Well that's quite a hot picture. This game really has nice visuals...

NOT LIKE YOU CAN EVER USE THEM!!!

The average player lowers it to something like this to make it playable...

Part of what makes an MMO great is the visuals. After wanting to dink around in EQ2 for a few days I've realized just how BAD the visuals ACTUALLY are.

And my system in no way is incapable of running EQ2...

Ok pointless rant /off

wow, im sure that is a pretty good game, but i would not be able to play with that kind of game play, those graphics would jes hurt my eyes. like id try to play it but my eyes would get all blurry from looking at that.

I myself turn a lot of stuff down... Lik shadows, and various shineyness, and light sources and such... but b y and large if you're playing with it looking that crappy you got serious issues.

your standard decent gaming PCs. with like 2500mhz process, 64 mb vid card, and 1gig ram, should be able to run find @1024 with at least medium on the textures resolutions and character model details.

And personally... even when I make the graphcis as bad as they can they don't look quite as bad as that, although the model detail on minimials is really bad.

At any rate, I'm sorry your pc can't run the game, but sounds more like a PC or customization problem, then a problem with the game itself.

Let me see what I can remember....

AMD Athalon 2600+
Nvidia Geforce4200 gold sample (128 Mb)
Onboard sound on Asus AXSblah Motherboard...
1 gig of corsair pci2(?)00

It works just fine. I was over reacting a little (I turned down a bar as well as setting "extreme performance"), however the models still look completely shaded out. I don't mind not being able to stare at my character, but things in the game (like finding an exciting new dungeon of a mysterious elven queen or somethin EQish) are just going to look like bollacks.
