Just played it. I liked it, though I was seriously scared of my own shadow. I'm a huge pussy (Doom3 scared me plenty). The AI is really impressive I think. Not sure how it holds up on easiest (i did the second difficulty up) but it was definately a challenge. Fun game ^^ PC gamer calls it "a classic in the making". it seems like they copied a solid game (doom 3...AND NO BITCHING ABOUT IT HERE) and then added some of their own original things like slomo and shit. So it wasn't that "groundbreaking". All in all: My favorite part BY FAR was hearing your enemies shout "FUCK" in slow motion. lololol |

That combat is nothing like Doom 3 though, the way the charecter moves and the aiming system is entirely different. The mechanics are really interesting. |

I installed it on my other PC and didn't like the fact that it forces you to install DirectX 9.0c even if you already have it installed. I suppose it's an "updated" DirectX since it says April and the date on Microsoft's site is different (something like October of 2004 or whatever), but anyway after I installed it I now get a glitch when loading up Windows on that PC where the screen will blink white gibberish before loading to the desktop. Anyway it seemed cool for the short time I played it :P |
