Post subject:  Upcoming Holiday Games

Well, with the holidays approaching fast, the amount of quality games being released are at an all time high for the year. I was bored and made a list of the upcoming games that I'm excited for and planning to buy. With the XBox 360 coming out, XBox is basically finished and I was unable to find any games that I wanted for it or the 360. My PS2 list is fairly large and my Gamecube/DS list is kinda small. lol Basically why I'm posting this is to get an idea what other games are coming out that kinda snuck under my nose and to see what you guys are looking forward to as well.

PLAYSTATION 2
  • Genji: Dawn of the Samurai (Out now!)
  • Shadow of the Colossus (10/18/05)
  • Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song (10/11/05)

Console games have a tendancy to not be released here until 6-8 months after Americans get them. :P

I kind of have a feeling we're not really going to be getting any really bit hits this season either. Most developers are too busy making games for the next-gen consoles to bother putting stuff out for the current-gen stuff.

My list so far is short because I haven't really looked into it much yet. :P

Black and White 2 (PC) (7th October?)

Megaman: Maverik Hunter X (PSP Megaman X Remake)

Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC) (Q1 2006)

Hmm, Advance Wars: UF (now called Battalion Wars) interested me a lot to begin with, but when I heard they trashed the multiplayer from it I kinda got uninterested. Might still be worth a pick up.

Batillion Wars is Advance Wars for GC? Shit, scratch that off my list then. Haha. And the Megaman remakes for PSP look really nice. I was excited for Suikoden I + II for PSP as well, but Konami announced that it will be for Japan only. Good thing I still have my copies. lol

Hell yeah, Soul Calibur III been waiting for another fighter to trash my friends in. lol

Wow...they're gonna release Front Mission Online...isn't that like gonna require the Harddrive and stuff? Is it gonna be on PC too? When are they Beta Testing?

Bah I haven't looked into it since the first released info on the JP POL site.

Yeah, thing is Battalion Wars had absolutely nothing to do with Advance Wars except for sharing the same name. Everyone, even the press, assumed it was intended to be some kind of 3D Advance Wars remake and stuff.

Turned out it had nothing to do with it, so they changed the name. Confusing a ton of people and probably tricking a lot of people into buying it because they think it's Advance Wars.

oh sweet mother yes

I cant wait for Megaman X Collection. I had no idea it was even coming out. I loved Megaman growing up and Megaman X came out at just the right time.

I grew up playing games like Mega Man and Castlevania. Megaman Zero 4 is coming out soon, but I'm going to wait til I see it for sale used. The Zero series is way too fucking hard to buy at full price. Haha.

That word for word. Playing the Mega Man classic games on my game cube gave me flashbacks of playing the old ones in grade school. After playing that I hoped they would do the same with the X series...and they are :D
