LOL looks like they are in cape terrigan/dunes/any beach zone and the screen shows a monster called Adamantoise. LOL SE is fucking lame.. they really are running out of material. I hope this game will be worth the wait, but something tells me it will not be fun to play. Usually I am hopeful about FF.. but really FFX-2 was such utter crap and they lost alot of their best staff to Mistwalker. |

They have some of the same stuff in ever game. Adamantoise was first seen, to my memory, in FFIIIj (not FF3(VI)). |

Of course they do.. but this is from this is from back to back games 11 to 12 and really they would have to show more creativity by now after 12 supposedly different games. Just really disappointed in FF.. and FFXI is no exception.. no fucking clue how I still play this game. Probably the people and hanging onto seeing some monsters die that I haven't seen die yet lol. Damn me for obsessing over completing a MMO when its impossible to truely do. I hear FF12 will be more real time and kinda like FF11 gameplay wise. I hope that is not true. |

I, on the other hand, want FF12 to become like a single-player version of FF11. I really liked the spells, abilities, jobs, balance, battle system, areas, and equipment of FF11. If I could create and play any game in the world it would be a single-player verison of FF11. Even though I made some friends in FF11, everything I didn't like about it stemmed from the fact that it's multiplayer. |

Am I the only one who felt pain from the word stage in a FF? What it is telling you to do sounds more like it is out of some cheap action game then FF too.

when i get my demo with dragon quest 8 i'll find out how it's going to be haha. as of now, based on what i've seen i don't think FFXII is going to be that great  like eternus said, they lost a lot of their better staff members to Mistwalker....which is making a RPG for the xbox360 i believe...i forget the name though

Dunno, I felt like that at first about FFXII, but I don't think it will end up being that different from other FF. What make FF game FF is the fantastic/magic world, the story, the mythology and the presence of the mascot (chocobo, moogle, summon...etc). FFXII will have that like any previous installement. I'm not saying the game will be good because they could screw up royally with the new battle system, but after playing FFXI, I doubt it feel like a cheap action game. |

Chrono Cross wasnt a bad game heh Chrono cross was a bad game cause it had 345839053 characters, but they all fail to be interesting but one or two :P |

Final Fantasy character design hasn't been that good since FFVI, imo. I think Cloud ruined everything. Now every main character is a Cloud-clone. |

Agreed, the only main character since Cloud so far that I found to be good was Squall. But the character design in FF12 is so dull...and the main character still looks like a girl. |

I liked the dynamic of Tidus and Wakka for FFX. They just worked well together. Wakka's voice bugged me a bit but since it was done by the same guy who does Bender from Futurama I let it slide lol. Still, people crap on FFX when it really wasnt that bad. FFX-2 wasnt tooooooo bad if you actually played it right through. I just hated playing it because I felt like if someone walked in on me playing FFX-2 Id look like some perv lol. |

I felt the characters in FFIX were well done as well. Some of them anyway :P. The main character had a level of originality. |
