Post subject:  DS vs. PSP

So ive been looking into selling my DS and getting a PSP. Really i dont see alot of good games on either one and PSP has internet, movies, and music. I think i have someone who will buy my DS for $100. So should i go for it or stick with DS?

Heres the question.

Are there games on the PSP you want to play?

I answer no so I wouldnt do it personally.

I keep meaning to pick up the DS. I mean I want it, not all that much, but I would like to have it at some point. The games interest me a lot more on DS thats all.

depends on personal tastes. But one thing for sure DS games are designed to be far more interesting than psp's mainstream ideas. Only thing that games psp worthwhile right now is Grand theft auto liberty city stories. Something about running around in a giant chicken suit and stealing a car from an old man is just amusing to me.

well im thinking they may bring old FF games to PSP. Also im a big RPG buff and DS has like NO rpgs at all. Wasnt there a good rpg game with the PSP release?

Yarr's right the psp has too many half assed ps2 ports. This is due to developers just trying pump out the games as fast as possible without really much thinking.

However like i said liberty city stories is fucking hot.. It doesn't feel half assed at all. It is however using the same city of gta 3, i'm thinking rockstar is gonna be making vice city stories and such. and then bleh san anderes stories.

Does PSP even HAVE any RPGs...?

It has them coming... lol Which doesn't say much. The ds will get rpgs soon too. Final fantasy 3 (6 in japan) is going to be on the ds. Psp has the capacity to make some truly epic rpgs, its just the matter of making them. Breath of fire 3 is being ported over. But again its just a fucking port.

All the PSP has is ports or games that are almost ports except that they're changed a little bit. If you stick with your DS you'll also have the GBA there also, should nintendo keep developing games for that which is a plus. Sure, the PSP has music, internet, movies, etc. but there's an MP3 thing for the GBA that I'm sure would work with the DS if you really want an MP3 player.

I see the DS having a big future ahead of itself, developers just need to embrace the fact that it has two screens and yes, they're probably never going to find a use for both of them, but it can make menus more convenient and stuff like that.

I donno, whatever...

Well i have an ipod so its not for the music. Im just thinking PSP would be better for me then a DS. Honestly i find my DS a bore right now and see more games for PSP that i like then DS also i have a GBA SP so the game boy port on DS doesnt matter to me.

i played my brother's psp (grand theft auto, some baseball game, and watched a dave chapelle dvd). it seems like psp dvd's or whatever theyre called are readily available-- he picked one up at the airport. i was very impressed with the psp and would buy one if it came out with some rpg's or strategy games.

the ds has that split screen, that looks so unplayable.
