my DS came with these screen protector things, do i need to put one over the touch screen before using the stylus or do you use the stylus directly on the screen itself?

I'm fairly sure you put the protector screen directly on the touch screen, and it still works fine with the stylus...I might add, however, that I've had my DS since launch, and still miraculously don't have a single scratch on the thing.

I remember my GBASP fell off the roof my car at around 45 mph onto a busy road, and beisdes a few paint scratches, was completely fine. Those Chinese sweatshop workers sure know what they're doing...

i dont really reccomend using a protector on the touch pad itself, on the monitor is ok.

the adhesive and even the static cling ones can damage the touch screen. the design of the ds is well enough that it is protected from most damage on its own accord. I've had mine a long time and it was yet to be scratched at all.

If it should get smudges or build up stylus gunk and you need to clean it only use a dry tooth brush to do so. You can lightly press the touch pad down to reach into the corners. Try not to use any at all fluids on it.
