Did you get Animal Crossing DS? I'm thinking about getting some more online games or maybe Age of Empires DS soon. I'm gonna look around this week, but if you got Animal Crossing as well, I prolly will 'cause my friends say its a good game.

AoE DS...whoa

Nah, I played Animal Crossing for the 'Cube, and it really wasn't my thing. "Showing off" my town could motivate me, but I really didn't have many people who had the game as well, so I decided to pass. I hear it's still really good though.

AoE DS is turn-based, as opposed to RTS, and I heard it was very good, but if you're looking for the definitive turn=based strat game on the DS, Advance Wars: Dual Strike is the way to go.

Edit: sounds like a generic puzzle game to me, I'll stick to Meteos. How is SBKDS, BTW?

advance wars IMO is the best game out for DS. i bought animal crossing and it was good, but too much of the same kinda like the gamecube version. go around pick up fossils, sell them, pick up fruit sell it, fish until you get bored of it, sell fish. turn off game and wait for fruit and fossils to come back....only thing different is that the people in the towns are more annoying in the DS version. whereas in gamecube they just wanted you to get ___ from ___, in the DS version they want you to catch a specific fish, or catch a specific bug, and it gets kinda annoying...

meteos was ok, i got kinda bored with it after a while, and it was kinda weird how you could just scribble on the touch screen and do better than if you were actually playing.....unfortunately PSP got the better release on puzzle games with Lumines (which was amazingly good)

I know AoE DS is turn based, but EMG gave it good reviews and I'm desperate enough for a new game I might get it.

SBKDS is rather annoying... it uses the microphone to nullify item effects, such as sleep or frozen. And as far as I can tell, there are only 5 or 6 different tracks. The bottom screen is used to do tricks. 1 kind is touching the screen a certain number of times, one is touching the screen is certain places, and the last is a combination of the two. I'm gonna play more tonight to see if its different, but my friend erased my data so I gotta start over.

I have AW:DS, second game I got. I don't like it as much as Fire Emblem for GBA, but its nice to have strategy games instead of stuff like Nintendogs, lol.

I got bored with Meteos as well, because like Bilorilo, you can do just as well by scribbling, which is what I do on the hard levels.

Worms Armageddon comes out sometime, and so does Tetris. The DS lineup is getting considerably better these next few months, except for the Princess Peach game. I'm gonna keep a look-out for anything online that we all might enjoy challenging each other to, besides Mario Kart.. We played that so much I am bored with it.

Anyone know about the Pokemon: Diamond (I think) coming out? They should make wifi battles for that.

Are you getting Metroid DS Feep? I think its supposed to be Wi-Fi over internet. I didn't like the demo too much, but everyone else in my gaming community is prolly gonna get it, so I'll get it becuase FPS multiplayer tends to last longer.

what would you guys recommend I get out of these games:

Fire Emblem (gba)
AW:DS
AoE:DS

or if you can recommend any good RPGs for DS or GBA, I need a new game for spring break coming up.

Adance Wars is probably the better strategy game but Armani beat it pretty fast, so if you want something to last a while I'd go with Fire Emblem. Age of Empires doesn't look too gewd since it's not RTS on here.

I heard AoE:DS lasts a while, but Fire Emblem is always good. I'd pick FE over AW because I like FE better, but if you like AW, its worth getting.. It has some story line I don't know so I'm confused, lol.

Golden Sun and its sequel are solid RPG experiences on the GBA. Besides that, there are the Final Fantasy remakes (Origins, which is 1 and 2, and then 4), and the Mario and Luigi Series (Superstar Saga for GBA, and Partners in Time for DS).

I picked up AW:DS and it's pretty awesome. I'd say it's a mix between Age of Empires, Civilization, and FF Tactics, which are some of my favorite games. I can see this game providing 100+ hours of fun.

AW:DS makes me cry. I suck at it really bad, the Fog of War maps that is.

yeah I'm only on mission 13, and the last couple battles have been decently challenging. I hear after mission 20 or so it gets insane.

After you have a long cutscene where someone says something to someone unexpected, it gets hard. Took me forever to beat the one mission where you get some people and find out what the black hole army is up to.
