Probably the best game i've ever played. I'm not kidding. I mean its right up there with xenogears. 2nd runners gameplay is freaken nuts. I realize the game came out like 3 years ago.

But its still that damn good. Its the only game i've notice that every couple of months or so i come back to play again, that and of course along with castlevania symphony of the night.



One of the things i love about this game is design aspect of the characters. I freaken love every model i see.
They have an almost egyptian design to the orbital frame ( Mechs)
Jehuty pictured here is named after egyptain god named Djehuty.


Anubis THe big bad guy

Cool as shit eh? Jehuty and anubis actually are twins in every aspect except all final coding wasn't complete on jehuty. So you play as the underdog ha.

Anyway for real alot of people missed this game, it has a taste of metal gear in it. But the story isn't as stretched as metal gear. You really can't even grab how good this game is until you find yourself taking on an armada of colonial class battle ships, alongside with the music you realize holy shit this game is awesome.

There are 2 very powerful weapons in the game. One being the vector cannon shown here. Its btw the only way jehuty can take down a battle ship. He literally has to shot down the core of the ship

And finally ZERO SHIFT. The badassiest of them all lol. Its makes you move faster than anyone. Its the one weapon that you don't have but eventually do get. Anubis does have and you don't. Zero shift makes the orbital frame move instantly to one spot. And if they have you targeted they can zip right to you and for 2 secs the target is stunned. You can do alot of damage at that point. I wish i could show you a gif but i can't find one.
Theres a collectors edition of this game i never got my hands on. Of course only in japan. But i'm hearing of a sequel. If they do. I may just pass out.

Yeah I played the original Zone of the Enders and liked it some. Never got to play the second, due to my PS2 crapping out on me. I got a working PS2 now though, might pick it up... that or KH2 lol.

I remember playing the origional Zone of Enders, and while it was decent, it was as good as the Armored Core line, which i was a big fan of at the time, so I didn't give the sequel a second look.

the second one made up for the part one's lacking. In fact alot people overlooked how amazing and how great the 2nd runner was. Its completely changed the game. One the moments that are completely jaw opening is when anubis fires one of his weapons, in the begining of the game lol, its a continuous laser beam that connects and continues to create an almost grid like puzzle around you, if it touches you it damages you. Its hard to manuver around it, but it is possible. If your fast enough lol.

yeah i picked up 2nd runner a few years ago for a great price. its fun but i never beat it, i think you inspired me to play again

Dude it gets so hectic ! When you get zero shift and you get jehuty v2.0 things start getting serious. Did you ever get to that point when you fight alongside some freedom fighters and you fight over a thousand enemies !?

I'm so sad right now, i just realized thats one of the games they took when they broke down my door last year and took all my games on the "dvd rack of joy" and my xbox/ps2...

Ironically they left my gamecube in the middle of the floor...

Lol I remember buying the game when it was released in EU...and it is still one of my favorite games EVER! ok...I completed it the first time in 4 hours....but I LOVE it!

Yeah this is an awesome game. I've played through it about twice I think. It's actually kind of a hard game at times too.
