Valkyrie Profile (PSP) - July 18th
Valkyrie Profile 2 (PS2) - September
Final Fantasy III (DS) - September (w00t)
Final Fantasy XII (PS2) - October

Dragon Quest Swords - Wii launch title! No more details are currently known, but I hope it's just straight up swordfighting.

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles announced for both the DS and the Wii.

Big surprise, FFXIII for PS3. Trailer (probably all prerendered) was shown, female protagonist, I expect IGN or whoever will have the trailer up later tonight. I'll post a link when I get one.

New FFXI expansion announced! No. Just kidding. God no.

I was hoping for release dates on FFV and FFVI Advance, but oh well, most of this is good news...your thoughts?

Annoncing the next ff on ps3 basically tells you right there ps3 will lead the next gen along with the wii. Screw ms lol.

I don't know, Daedalan. Put FFVII on N64 instead of PS, and it might have been a far different story. I doubt any FF will ever have the impact that seven did, but it's still a big deal. Oh well, no skin off my nose.

YES!!! I've been trying to get my brother and our friend to play Crystal Chronicles with me for a long time, and it was mostly "I don't have a GBA anymore" and "He doesn't have a GBA anymore". Now I can get it for DS and make them get it so they quit complaining about not having a game to play. I hope they add stuff to it if it's just a port, or hopefully they'll have a new one maybe.

Nomura is providing more details. The CG movie we just saw, featuring a spiky-haired character (natch) squaring off against machine gun-wielding soldiers, was created by the Advent Children team, but the game itself will be made by the Kingdom Hearts team, and will feature "extreme action elements." He says "bonding" will be the primary theme of the game.

I don't have to say much to fucking say wow ok. Enough said omg.

Anyway what I've been hearing is that what they showed was the sequal to FFXIII tentatively titled Final Fantasy Versus XIII. I can't confirm anything...someone else do that.

Watched the video another 2 times. I am impressed with the graphics and animation and all, but really that is not what makes a game fun. FF series has gotten stale to me really. This is being touted as an action game made by the Kingdom Hearts team... I just replayed KH1.. and I liked it much less the second time around. What little of KH2 I played it seemed like more of a simple button masher.. way too easy. I hope FFXIII is good.... but I do not think it will make PS3 launch anyway.

there is two games there, 13 follows the same battle system as 12, and the sequel to 13 is being done by the kingdom hearts guys and it has a action battle system... read the wiki and love the wiki damn it.
