Yea, there are still rumors going around. A couple sites and mags have made "official" announcements.. but who knows. Square loves money, as we can see with the 90 FFXIII related games they're making, so I bet it's true sooner or later. They haven't even finished re-releasing the much older FFs yet. It's just odd to see something like that. Like the FYE Halo 3 reserves for 360 before the console was released. Any magazine can make claims that the remake is official because we all know it is eventually coming. Especially if the PS3 is going to have anywhere near the shelf life Sony hopes it does. Which is about ten years (hah) or so. |

I have seen nothing about a FFVII remake confirmation in the latest EGM, so I doubt it exists, but if you have a source, let me know. |

I think you forgot how many millions of fanboys FFVII grabbed by the testicles with an iron grip when the game first came out. The sound of a remake where everyone doesn't have gigantic block hands and the same brown shoes is shocking enough. Hopefully they'll change more than just the graphics around, hell, they should just make a VII-2 like they did for X-2. Except make it not suck... X-2 was like the worst FF game, ever. |
