My brother bought one of these today, and for some odd reason i can't get it to work. He's gonna take it back to Best Buy tomorrow. I just wanted to see if anyone else had the same problem.

I went to the website and downloaded the latest software, but when i try to install it it gives me an error window that says "Please connect the Nintendo DS Wireless USB connector to the USB Port." and i can see that it is already in there. i tried different ports and still no luck. i did get the 1.1 vs 2.0 error but that shouldn't effect the install.

Also, even after only 2 mins in the port it heats up to the point where it could almost burn you. Is that normal?

I don't think that it's normal. I'd try to get a refund if I were you. Or e-mail a representative at Nintendo and see about a replacement or something. I'm pretty sure those things work like PnP after you have the software installed, but I don't have any experience with them firsthand. If anything, you could just buy a cheap wireless B router for it.

he returned it and found out the place he works is going bankrupt so he decided to wait on it. but it was obviously defunct according to the clerk
