You know this really still means nothing.
Fact of the matter is that money talks.
And right now even making a game on the 360 makes developers lose money.
Why R&D costs money. Hiring new capable staff, training current staff for the new wave in graphics technology. Why is Xbox Live actually working? Developers are trying to recoup costs. So they make minor addtions to their games. Horse armor pack for oblivion $ 5 dollars. Realizing you spent 5 dollars on digital horsey armor. Priceless. Until ps3 and wii comes. THen the real next gen wars will come. I think sony's doing alot of risky moves. And i don't want them to fuck up. But they're asking for it lol. Alot of developers are also waiting on sony. In matters like this numbers mean everything. And from what i understand. About 150 games are being developed for the ps3. I've heard lesser numbers for the 360. Well see how its goes. But honestly i keep getting the feeling the wii is going to pull a rug right off everyone.

360 will be the next PS2. Devs have to pay an assload of money to develop for the ps3. Lots of smaller developers have bailed out already. Unless you know your game is going to be a big hit, its a huge risk paying as much as sony wants to develop on ps3.

Why is there drama in every thread here? or atleast someone always attempts to start some.
I like how PS3 is going the way of nintendo in the last generation. It seems like it'll be the underdog. I can't wait for Wii, and I might buy a 360 when the price drops in a year.

wii seems like the system I will mostly get in the next while once I finish ffXII. But then, I don't really play that much anymore.

Personally, I don't think xbox will be able to dominate in the next gen around because if the japanese developers don't pledge support for sony, they will go to nintendo instead. I've been hearing rumors that square will give rights to dragon warrior to wii.

Yea, 360 has sold like 14,000 units since launch in Japan. Wish is not only terrible, but extremely embarrassing.

Your right. 1 dragon quest game is coming on launch for the system in japan. And both you and yarr are correct. The 360 is doing completely horrible in japan. Its in fact doing disgusting over there. In one months time it sold less than 4 thousand systems. Much less in fact. I think the gamecube outsold it last month. Its not worth selling anymore over in japan. ANd without japanese support, With japanese support being minimal on the 360, the only other options will be the wii and the ps3. And remember EA, will be making those horrible little gay sports game americans love soooo much, for the wii and the ps3. Factoring that in, eventually its really going to be a fight between the ps3 and wii. The 360 will only have strength in the american market.

Europe is touchy though. They do like RPGS alot too. They also love nintendo. Remember something though guys. Sony has a big fucking ace at its sleeve. Final fantasy. I don't give a rats ass what anyone says. The japanese vomit for that game. And that will sell systems no matter what. Blue dragon can eat me. All i've seen is fake release dates and 1 or 2 images, that show me almost nothing. I saw a trailer a good trailer at that of final fantasy on ps3. You guys need to remember how the tide turned HEAVYLY ( much like the woman i work with BAZING) on sony's favor when ff 7 came out on the ps1.

Did you just quote yourself? Haha. The only thing that I really want to play on PS3 is MGS4. But, I'm hoping that it gets released on other platforms. Or I'll wait until PS3 gets a number of price drops and it's 150 bucks. Better yet, I'll just wait outside a mall on launch day with a baseball bat and a getaway car.

I think the Wii is going to sell a lot when its released. Its already gonna be cheaper than the PS3, and I don't know if microsoft will drop the prices on the 360 so soon.

Having twilight princess launch for the Wii is going to kill the gamecube instead of reviving it for a little like it was going to, but it'll sell the Wii. A lot of developers are interested in using the Wii-mote to make games, so a lot will prolly come out for it. I dunno how much developement costs are, but hopefully its not too bad as the PS3 and 360's are.

The PS3 will sell to Sony fanboys. They'll buy anything that says Playstation. It'll be good for blu-ray, since a single blu-ray player costs more than the ps3 does right now.

The bad thing about the PS3 is the trailers are too flashy and the games prolly won't live up to it.

360 is actually not going to drop in price, but they're adding a game to the premium pack (Project Gotham Racing) and about 80 bucks worth of stuff like a Live subscription and points or some shit. I'm not a huge fan of online gaming on consoles so I don't really give a damn. Haha.

What the hell Mikey, I haven't even posted yet. I've been saying that the 360 wasn't going to do as well when the other next gen consoles come out. Oh well. I can see Nintendo actually make a huge move this time and being on top of Sony in just that the games are probably going to cost less to make and buy, unless developers can manage to take the hit developing for the PS3. Also from that survey, 1/3 of the developers said that porting to the Wii wasn't bad. Not a bad start, eh?
