Post subject:  ffIII - what will be your party lineup?

here's a list, taken from gamefaqs boards:

Warrior
Ranger
Theif
Monk
Knight
Dragoon
Martial Artist
Ninja
Mystic Knight
Black Mage
White Mage
Red Mage
Evoker
Summoner
Geomancer
Warlock
Shaman
Sage
Scholar
Bard
Viking

Possible: Onion Knight, Iron Knight

It's hard to say because we don't really know each job's abilities, but it's fun to think about. I know that maybe 1-2 jobs will probably end up dominating the endgame (a party of like 4 ninjas or something dumb), but I'd much rather look forward to a challenge with a fun party, and not necessarily a godly party. I might try:

Viking
Ranger
Red Mage
Shaman

or maybe:

Monk
Martial Artist
Ninja
White Mage

What other combinations look fun?

I think I might do ninja, thief, white mage, and bard for starters, since those are the jobs I like on FFXI. Other than that will just have to wait to see what the jobs can do.

yea it ends up being any combination of sage and ninja at the very end. i sure hope they tweaked it. but from when i played i remembered using like 100 different combinations of parties until the end areas. bard sucked though.

it really was a fun game, on par with ff5. and now it will probably have smoother interface, so = more fun

even if sage and ninja end up being the best, I'll still stick with 4 different jobs. I want to slowly savour this game, and I'll gladly sacrifice kill speed for a chance to try out some cooler combinations.

you get the jobs at different stages, so you probably won't be using the same party throughout

1st set of jobs:
warrior, monk, white mage, black mage, red mage

set 2:
ranger, thief, knight, scholar

set 3:
geomancer, dragoon, viking, martial artist (monk2), mystical knight (paladin), conjurer (summoner1), bard

set 4:
warlock (black mage2), shaman (white mage2), summoner

set 5:
sage (in theory like red mage2 but more like warlockshaman), ninja

a good suggestion would be:
1: warrior, monk, red mage, red mage
2: knight, monk, white mage, black mage
3: mystical knight, martial artist, dragoon, white mage
4: mystical knight, martial artist, shaman, warlock
5: ninja, ninja, sage, sage

but i'd probably try:
1: warrior, monk, red mage, white mage
2: ranger, thief, white mage, scholar
3: viking, dragoon, conjurer, white mage
4: viking, dragoon, summoner, shaman
5: viking, dragoon, summoner, shaman
