I'm really considering this system after taking a trip to my
friends house and playing Chrome Hounds.

He made me watch a couple trailers and i'm really crazed by the
graphics.

Dead Rising (2)

Bullet Witch (2)

I haven't had too much time to look into it; but i had an awesome time
playing Chrome Hounds, and these trailers look promising.

I know some of you may be very narrow minded about xbox,
but regardless of the price, i'm talking about game quality...
Any of you own an xbox and can contribute?

Were the trailers pre-rendered? I still wouldn't waste my money on one even after playing my friend's.

Well i don't think they are pre-rendered, because when i played
chrome hounds, the graphics were amazing.

The (2) links should be actual game play.

Dead Rising is a game that was designe specifically for Talisin.

Talisin LOVES zombie movies. Him and his friend always do this thing when they are bored somewhere. They pretend that theres a zombie outbrake and try to figure out the best way to get out of where ever they are with out getting infected. Its pretty funny when Tal and I are bored sitting around somewhere or walking somewhere and he just blurts out "zombie outbreak what do you do?" lol.

I seriously want to buy a 360 (since I have NO excitment over PS3) but I have been putting it off because I cant afford it. However with the release of this game (by capcom too, my favorite third party vendor) I have a hard time holding back.

They are (or have) putting together a bundle that will include a game now and some other stuff for the same price as before.

If you're into sports/competetive games then i would recommend renting/buying Rockstar Games Presents: Table Tennis. That game is alot of fun to play with a bunch of friends. The graphics arent astonishing but it does look like a next gen game. Gameplay isnt that hard to learn but takes a while to master, although when you play against other people it might just turn into "who can hit the ball harder" contest, lol. but its still alot of fun.

Another sporty game that i liked was fight night round 3, these graphics are amazing, every time you look at the boxers faces you can swear that its almost the real thing. When you're fighing in an old warehouse, you can even notice the dust in the air. This game is really easy to get into because you controll the right analog stick to punch, so it never turns into a button mashing contest if you play with friends.

Also, i heard (but havent played) that new Dead Rising game is pretty sick. You play in a mall infested with thousands upon thousands (literally) of zombies, and you have a million different ways to save people or escape. Each playthrouh gives you exactly 7 hours playtime to do whatever you wish to get out alive, and theres always a different ending that coincides with whatever you did. Also, i heard you can use like a million different weapons to kill the zombies. iunno, it seems entertaining if ur into that sort of thing.

EDIT: Yeah Yarr beat me to the whole deadrising promo lol.

Xbox 360 is a good system if you dont set your hopes rediculously high like everyone else has. If i were you i would buy one now before the holliday season starts, because thats when alll the goooood shit comes out.

Heres some links to the screens of Fight Night round 3.:

I'm not one to shell out the cash for a 360, but Chrome hounds dead rising, and Gun witch all tempt me sorely... However until they make a badass RPG I prolly never make the jump.

Mistwalker will eventually put some interesting RPGs out onto the 360. Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Cry On are all rumored to be released within a year or two. By then I'm sure we'll see at least a price drop.

Bulletwitch looks like crap and like 1/2 of that was pre-rendered and Dead Rising? what the living, or unliving hell? It looks like something Rockstar crapped out to pretend to be "Cutting edge". Remember when games used to have replay value and ummm you know fun attached to it? Where are the enthralling RPG's with a huge epic story, or the well thought out strategy games. Or even something fun that doesnt try to attach itself to something "O so naughty".

Dead Rising makes me want to get a 360.

The trailer isn't prerendered for that, but I'm not gonna look at the others. I think it was on X-Play there they said that.

lol Xbox360 + Wii is equal to the price of a PS3. The 360 is looking better as they release more games for it and the Wii is sure to have good games just because it is Nintendo. PS3 just costs so damn much, I would have to buy it just to have a Blue Ray DVD player. I wonder when the Mistwalker RPGs are being released.. seems to be taking a while.

The only one of these systems that captures any of my interest is the Wii. After seeing the control demo for Zelda: Twilight Princess I'm kinda psyched about the possibilities. Though what I'd really like is for nintendo to get back to making more stellar hand held games, the selection's been somewhat shoddy for a long while now, even with the DS, I'm mainly just looking forward to FF3 while I play advance wars, mario, and my old GBA games. Brand new games would be cool but I'd gladly settle for a third Golden Sun and some more Castlevania :/

It's been my intention to get a next gen in addition to my wii. I was planning on getting PS3 until Sony announced the price. Just because they sold 60 million PS2s doesn't mean they can get away with charging 600 dollars. Or maybe they can, who knows. Not from me, though.

So in this case I'm going to side with Stupid instead of Greedy. I'll buy Stupid's console as soon as the Christmas price drop/bundle comes.

Am i the only one who thinks Nintendo Wii is too gimicky/retarded? I mean, using your controller as a gun, tennis racket, or even a steering wheel will be quite refreshing for the first couple hours. But like omg, am i the only person who plays games after 12am?

Do you really want to be chucking/pointing/swinging/twirling a goddamn stick all night long when you're playing video games? I mean seriously... the controller has like 4 buttons. How the hell am i going to play games that require more buttons without having to dance around like a retard while doin it?

I mean, sure if these "next-gen" wii games looked good (which i doubt, since they all graphically look like xbox 1) then yeah i'd buy one. But they all look like shit compared to ps3 and xbox. i'd only buy wii to play the new zelda, because i really dont think there will be any good 3rd party games comming out for wii anytime soon.

DS would be a prime example, are there -any- good 3rd party games that take advantage of the dual screens? I honestly cant think of any..

I'll take my xbox360 anyday, tyvm.

Trauma Center. Phoenix Wright. Castlevania. There's some third party games that are amazing that use both screens.
