Contrary to reports of Resident Evil not coming to the Wii, Capcom finally stated that the Wii version is still on for release. While it won't be Resident Evil 5, which has gameplay supposedly taliored for the 360 and PS3, the game for Wii will hopefully have plenty of hacking, slashing, brain bashing, to fill Nintendo fans and zombie haters with delight.

You can read the story by following the link.

not to say i don't have faith in the possiblity that it may be a good game. I do also see a big oppertunity for this game to suck ass. Its probably going to be a sequel to Resident evil gun survior 2

Quite possible, but it's good to see some third party support for the Wii regardless.

EA and Ubisoft and both pledging huge support to Wii (ubi moreso, though). I guess the qualifier to your statement would be "japanese third party support"

Resident Evil 4 was a fantastic game. Not only did it get rid of the cliche type "O noes da virus am makin da zombiez!" story but I really liked the camera perspective. Took time to get used to it but it gave it a nice feel that's hard to explain unless you sit there for countless hours like I am doing right now trying to UNLOCK THE GODDAMN HANDCANNON. FUCK YOU WOLVERINE MAN! FUCK YOU!............. =P~

i noticed a bunch of the games on that list are already out for GC, or are out for PS2/Xbox. nintendo lovers can finally play games that were released 3 years ago... ? still not impressed about the wii

nothin major, some of them are probably new versions/additions to whats already out there (better graphix, more maps, etc).

my only argument on why i dont like the wii is that its just not that much better than the GC already, so how long will it really last? sure they will focus on gameplay and quality games (which is WHY you should buy a game) but eventually, there isnt much more room for improvement within the system. i dont know, maybe i just need to keep my mind open to ideas and make the final decision when i have the consoles infront of me.

No, Gavin, most of those are just franchises coming to the Wii without specific titles yet.

edit: Except for the Godfather I believe

Well like ubi, making most it games ports kinda sucks ASS.

Adding just little features for the wii seems kinda gimickky

THey're just banking to have as many games as possible so people will rush to buy them. Be them good or not.

Red steel is interesting though

Well for starters.

Farcry. Its been released on xbox xbox360 and pc. Games been out for a while now. Don't you think the wii deserves something a bit more than a game thats been released so many times?

Maybe an actual sequel or prequel?

What the hell was that other game called. The WW2 plane shooter. I believe that came out for ps2 360 and xbox. What i'm trying to say is that some companies like them are banking on a demand for the wii this holiday season. Hence why you see only a few original titles coming out. But you do see priorly released titles with Brand new ( wii features)

What i don't want is nintendo's wii getting a rep for that that to happen regularly.
Activision is releasing call of duty 3 for wii. But the graphics are downgraded. Which is fine. As long as they still make the game fun. But sometimes,A company will do that just to bank on the name and the rep of the IP ( intellectual property ) you see this alot in gba and even ds and psp games. Simply banking on a games rep isn't going to help the wii. Original titles. Awesome and interesting gameplay is whats going to help the wii Stand on top against the rest. And ports of a game that was released 2-3 years ago isn't impressive.

Its nice to see another FFCC is coming, though I was hoping it was for DC. Ending to the first one was kinda gay.

I never finished fire emblem: PoR. I didn't like the story as much as I did for the GBA one. And the exp bonus made it too easy imo.

Let's be honest here: who really buys Nintendo hardware for anything other than Nintendo software? I mean seriously, if a good 3rd party game comes around it's just icing on the cake, but the main reason most people buy Nintendo games are for Big N franchises. 3rd party support won't hinder the Wii very much, and if it does then people really should buy the 360 because Nintendo is about the original games.

Nintendo can't do it by themselves. The gamecube hasn't performed as well as it should have. The 64 needed was cool but again it needed more 3rd party support.

I face it yes ponuh. Nintendo can survive alone with its own games. But if you haven't noticed its stake in the home console market is shrinking. For nintendo to be sucessful they need 3rd party support. THe golden age for them was super nintendo. When 3rd party support was plentiful. You and I disagree with somethings ponuh but you really gotta accept that nintendo really does need more 3rd party support. The wii opens alot of chances to change the industry and make games fun again. Or it could be full of crap too. It depends. Well see this holiday season when it comes out. I'm definitly getting it.

I think i'm getting the wii with rayman, and wii sports or something lol.

Dunno, Wii may be getting pushed back.

The factory has received Wii controller's purchasing order and its sample, but is still stucked in testing phrase. From feedbacks of testers, currently the Wiimote and nunchuck still have a lot of small issues, such as buttons aren't sensitive, hard to press 2 buttons together, and even no response occasionally, and the current sample is easy to get damaged, using the controller in normal situation will produce some noise, etc. Entering Sept, if the above hardware problems cannot be fixed, it will directly affect Wii's selling strategy.

Also, the factory has not received the Wii console from Nintendo yet, currently they are testing samples using a dedicated machine only for testing, which means after an up-to-standard sample is produced, it still needs to be sented back to Japan to be tested by Nintendo for the 2nd time. Wii controller uses bluetooth technology for real-time data transfer, and infrared for "space location"(space as in that Eistein(?)) guy Time-Space thingy), and the 2nd phrase of testing procedures maybe even tougher!

Oh god I hope not. That would make the Wii a big "what could have happened" question for the rest of time. It really needs to release for the holidays
