Seaman 2 is going to be officially announced this week according to 1UP. On Friday, we'll learn what platform and the release date. That's fucking nuts. Haha. Supposedly though, it's rumored to be on PS2. Though alot of people are fighting for DS or Wii.

Its gotta be on DS or Wii. I put money on the DS. That thing has a mic built into it.

It also fits the console perfectly, they would be stupid to release it for anything else.

Business wise it makes sense for sega to release the game on a system that has a large player base. So yea the ps2 would make the best business choice for the moment.

However.. They are probably thinking about making a making a ds version. Because it seaman wasn't much of a taxing game to begin with, i can see them making a ds version.

Then once they get a response from the sales of the ds version they'll release a wii enchanced version.

This and the Sonic thread makes me want to dust off my Dreamcast. It also makes me want to cry because I loved that system so much. I'll probably get Seamen 2 for the same reason I got the first one, The name is crudly funny.

PS2 is on its death bed. The system is about to hit the wall. When the PS3 comes out the PS2 will drop in sales and what not.

Currently the Nintendo DS is outselling even PS2 (PS hasnt been out sold since like the nintendo DS) and the userbase is growing at an insane rate.

So really it would make more sense to go with a system that is well on its way to a large user base and has a longer life span.

LOL on its death bed? When the ps3 comes out the sales will drop too? Yarr only 400 k systems are coming this holiday. Lots of games are still coming out for the ps2. I would say its on its way to dying next year. But not right now.


Did i not mention that a seaman on ds would be a good idea? lol read my prior post. Did i not purposely leave out the psp. Which btw can handle the game techincally speaking. WHy because the psp isn't good for a game like that

Sega wants to make money, the original didn't really fair to well.

So its either make it for ps2, and have a better chance of doing well or remotely well. Or going multi platform, because right now its too risky to make a game for just one systems.
