Shipped today and is being sold tomorrow. Might be sold on the west coast today, but not sure. Anyone else getting this? I've never played PSO, but I heard this one is really good.

I'm still undecided. I'd personally want to play some sort of trial before commiting to another MMO.

I'm not playing any MMO at the moment. So. Haha. Been playing catch up on the stack of PS2 games I've got and making frequent trips to the library.

2 years ago my friends Trizin (Pancho Rodriguez on these forums), Conker, and I planned on quitting ffxi together to play PSU when it came out. I honestly don't know if I want to start over in another mmo...so many other good games out. If Trizin buys it I probably will too, just to check it out. No way I'll play it like I used to with ffxi.

PSU looks like a cool game. I read NA, EU, and JPN play on the same servers. Also servers are specific for 360, PC, and PS2....that kinda sucks. (I don't know if it's 100% true or not).

If it comes out today, I'm taking it home to try it out regardless. :p

Free rentals for me for four days... and if Snaake and I like it, then it just doesn't get returned and I gotta shell out 63bucks.

Let's pray it's awesome, but not awesome enough!

You may not. If it has a registration code to play online.

Well it isn't a MMO like FF I'd say. The thing about FFXI is that you felt obligated to attend things and to be places at certain times. In PSO (assuming just like PSU) you could do any quests at any times, and it was no big deal if someone had to leave. It's a lot more laid back. And you can level solo or search for rares solo.

I think if I did buy it (waiting a week or so to see how game reviews are) I'd get it for PC...what would you get it for Kluya? I had no idea that servers were specific to different systems.

The best thing about that movie is that the main character is like, literally in his upper 30's and balding. lol Jeremy Piven.

I'd (originally) get it for 360 since my 360 gets no play time and I feel bad for it. That and my PC is from like 1987 and sucks balls.

If you do play Trizin, let me know...I suppose I could pick it up on PC instead. I'll download the benchmark and see if my PC will even run it.

I heard all servers play together like FFXI, but PS2 slows down. I got it for PC and I don't see any registration codes, you just gotta register online for an account. Sucks to PS2 and 360 people w/o a computer. I'm installing it now, gonna play with the character creation before I have to leave, don't wanna get to attached before the weekend.

From what I've read there's many options for customizing your characters look. I like that.

There is no code. If you and your friends wanna try it, you can split the cost for the CD and try single player. You have to make an account at

Playsega

And then pay for online. I'm not sure if its upfront, but its $9.99 for the first 45 days, or $49.99 for the first 210 days (I got that).

I didn't spend a lot of time in character creation, but theres enough options to not look similar to every other person like FFXI.

Lucky for me, my bosses are morons with Live/online shit!

Huzzah! However, if it did have a code, Snaake and I would purchase it, hands down.

BUT IT DID NOT COME TODAY! :( Airenn is once again a sad girl.

I have it on my PC. Its not letting me connect right now -_- Says something about server maintenance already. I'm also kinda mad I can' figure out how to fullscreen* it if its even possible. I made the window bigger b ut it just cut the resolution.

/fume -_- making GW look good again.

*So I uh... found fullscreen mode >.> Looks real nice now.
Server is down though, makes me sad I can't fix my character.

Are you talking about that movie with George Clinton and the principal from Old School?

They had the best band name ever in that movie "Everyone Gets Laid."

Its kind of like guild wars. For exp, you go out and do missions. I'm not sure if they reward exp, but the monsters give a bit, and theres a lot that're easy to mow through, but exp gets slow and monsters get hard fast.

I get lost easily in the meeting areas sometime. I've only been to two though.

I've been playing ranger, and all my guns run out of ammo too fast 'cause we can't get through all the monsters, too weak I guess. I could've gotten stronger ones, but I went for variety and got more 800 instead of the 1000 ones.

I was in a party with a lvl 19 and 20 and they went through monsters of similar level easily, but it only gave me 16 exp, not sure how much for them.

If you don't know anyone that has it, just download it and play single player, and if you like it, register an online account and play online. I'm not sure if theres anything like linkshells or any NMs or anything though, which I don't like.

They're already a ton of torrents for PSU. You can download it and play in offline mode, however, you have to pay a fee for online play.
