i just watched that ozzy video on youtube. that was fucking hilarious. but of course WoW's going to be the fastest selling game, they actually know what PR is, let alone attending to the carebears. something the FFXI team learned five years too late.

Yeah, FFXI never came close to... this or this or this

I'm not surprised though. That's the main reason I quit - WoW is geared toward the casual player.

I agree with Matti, even though I never really did much end game in WoW. I have IRL friends that did WoW end game raiding and it seemed to be a joke mostly. These are friends that quit FFXI and/or Lineage II because those games were too hardcore or difficult. They of course have had no problems clearing everything in WoW and both have level 80 characters now. These same people quit FFXI at level 55 (artifact armor and limit breaks were too much) and never got a character past level 62 in Lineage II (insane level grind). This is why I have always called WoW "baby's first MMORPG".

Yeah the content (new Naxx) isn't supposed to be terribly hard. When I first hit 70 the 3.0.2 patch nerfed all the dungeons, so I got a taste of Sunwell and beat KJ, but from what I heard that shit was damn near impossible beforehand.

Now within about a month our more-relaxed guild has cleared everything in 25-man Naxx except Kel-thuzad, which is just due to laziness.

Blizzard is supposed to be releasing the "real content" later, I guess the dungeons right now are supposed to be the Kara of the old. Just getting people geared for the hard stuff.

the new T7 isn't even that great, a lot of pieces are barely the best, and some are just flat out NOT the best.
