It looks kweler then FFXI seriously. but i was wondering what Race/Job combo is sorta like RDM as in like jack of all trades masters of none. I have a friend who plays WoW and hes Hoarde and i'm not sure yet if i wanna be against him or with him. So could you tell me? It seems the only thing i like in FFXI these days is Ballista with my Samurai. And talking to the OBW people and sometimes lving BLM but i'm in the jungle and cant stand the noobs there. I wanna kill myself irl every time i have to lv it. It seems all i need is a change so i'll get a new graphics card and play WoW if i can bring myself to put down FFXI.

For Horde, Shaman is most like RDM.

They have decent melee/armor/damage spells/healing spells etc. They're good for pve and pvp. Ghost wolf at lvl 20 which can increases your speed is nice.

Druid could be considered like RDM too, but more healing. You can change into animals and everything, but most Druids I see just use human form most of the time unless they're traveling.

I suggest Shaman. It looks fun ^O^

That's just my view of things, from what I read and see (a lot). I'm an alliance mage though.

I might not it just seems nothing in FFXI is new anymore. Sure i'll go and explore CoP areas have some fun but then it will get old. Sure i love the people in FFXI but wont i get the same treatment in WoW? Everyone in OBW know i get frustrated after a bad EXP party. I leveld RDM just so i can cast about 3 spells over and over again. I try to level BLM but i dont think i can stand going through the jungles again for a 3RD time. I know your thinking "Well aleks if you dont want to have bad pts then level BST and dont deal with pts." But with BST you die and die and die and die and it seems impossible. In FFXI there are jobs that are put off to this side and are concidered "Useless" And that happens to be most of the jobs i like. Also hearing of all these "Scams" and assholes fucking other people over and GMs saying "thank you for your input we will look into this matter further." IT just pisses me off that there is nothing you can do back to them. In WoW one could just go and kill the asshole loot his body and camp his HP until he quits the game. Correct? Maybe i hate the internet. The only thing that has been keeping me on FFXI is this site and wanting to discover end-game stuff and have fun on these forums. Also i have am IRL friend who plays WoW and another friend who is debating over what he wants to get. If he gets WoW then later guys. but if he gets FFXI then i'll play with him. I will be here for promyvian no matter what anyway. So there are my reasons. BTW this chunk of crap is here cause you guys broked OBW site. :x


P.S. If you guys think i want to quit FFXI trust me i dont but i'll leave this up to my friend without telling him. I can maybe get him to play FFXI.


P.S.S. I know i seem like a drama queen and i probably am but i am just confused now.

lol theres lots of new stuff in FFXI for you. Have you been into Monastic Cavrens? How about Zvahl Castle Bailey? Those places are pretty cool to run around in. Ive been to those 2 places for the first time in the last few days Doing rank and AF. What about Dynamis or Sky. Thats what Im looking forward too.

Sure there are plenty of new areas but it would be near impossible for me to get to them not to mention have fun in them. My point is that everything fun in this game you must have sat there for endless hours xping.

Go shaman, they do everything and actually kind of well. Don't let the ff11 junkies talk you out of it, there definatly is nothing new in FF11, you have to farm for weeks to get anything good, you cant even JUMP of go in WATER....lmao @ FF11.

Alliance side, Paladin is a lot like RDM, but, you can tank and take hits. Instead of "REFRESH PLZ" you'll get "BLESSING PLZ". But, you only have to cast it every 5 minutes and there is no cooldown, so not as annoying. My secondary is a Human Paladin in his 30's.

My primary is a Tauren Druid, in his 50's. They are really the Jack of all trades. Cat form is a watered down Rogue. Bear form is a like a watered down Warrior. Unshifted caster form is much like a RDM in that you get heals and nukes and some utility spells and a couple buffs.

I haven't done much with Shaman, but, from what I've seen, they have more offense than a Paladin or Druid.

All of these classes get heals and resurrect (Druid has a 30 min cooldown) and are pretty useful and sought after for parties.



I do know where you are coming from in terms of FFXI. I really wasn't completely done with everything I wanted to do with it (most notably Dynamis-Xarcabard) and I left a lot of friends behind when I left. I still think FFXI is one heck of a good game, probably better than WoW when all is said and done. It's just that I spent a year playing it and I was starting to get bored with it. Since I started playing WoW, I haven't really thought about FFXI at all.

WoW is seriously better than FFXI, and that's the god honest truth. No FFXI bashing...it's just WoW is a superior game.
