They ton'ed down Proms, you can easily get to the BCNM with 6 people.

and Yes people like Fabain who mash enter during the Missions and dont do any quests may find the RPG asspect boring.

When did I say I wanted to play solo ? I love playing with my friends. My point was that we don't have to be a full group to do quest and exp. Sure you can advance solo when your friends aren't on, but it's so much better in group. My point was that in FFXI, when you don't have a group, you can do nothing. I didn't hate FFXI, I liked it for the time I played, but I'm enjoying WoW much more.

I admit there seem to bet great content in CoP, BUT then again, you're stuck if you can't get 12-18 people to go through the crags.

What I meant about WoW is that the gameplay will allow many players to go all the way alone or with a few friends. I'm pretty sure not everybody will play the game this way, and I'm not blamming those people of doing so, but I doubt this sort of gameplay could create a community like the one in FF. I might be wrong about this because I have not played the game, but in almost any online game I played before, when people aren't forced to play together, they don't.

As for CoP, all of them can be beat with 6 people now.

Yeah, Kaylia is pretty much right here....

Only people I really talk with are thsoe I know from FFXI.
B/c so few people are forced to group.... they also tend to not create such a large community like FFXI.

However, I'm sure that will change with more PvP, b/c most of hte new ppl I've met are people i have gone on PvP raids with.

Perhaps Battlegrounds will change that.

I don't agree about the community feeling. I'm in The Underground guild on bronzebeard and the guild chat is lively and most people there are fun. I have a great time playing with them, I also got to know some them more and I get some notoriety as a warrior myself. We have raids every once in a while, we organize Duel tournaments, we pt with each other. I don't know about other guilds, but ours is definetly enjoyable. So the community is what you will make of it.

The thing about WoW is that you can go all the way to level 60 solo, if you want. If you do nothing but solo and occasionally duo, I suspect your opinion of WoW will be pretty poor after a couple months.

However, if you make friends (or in my case bring in a boatload of friends you met in other games), the game is a whole heck of a lot of fun. You are still better off solo/duo thru level 20, but, after that most of the cool stuff, uber loot, and elite questing requires partying. All these games are more fun with good company.

Dunno what to say. I've had no troubles meeting new people. I don't think this is a very good game if you spend a lot of time solo/duo. You need to get out and about and make more friends. Then, the game is a whole lot better.

Me and Dark joined the CKD equivalent group...we're the only guild that can do high end instances on alliance on our server, etc.

Yeah I'm definately in the CKD of my server. Tyranny is outrageously good. I took a chance and joined early before the greatness, left my other guild and everything

Paid off huge because i'm a senior officer now :)

There is still 3 permantly unclaimed wyrm walking around some area :P
Ouryu was Mission 4-3 BC in CoP. Even if it doesnt have the leet drop of the other wyrm, it's still a cool fight and I really enjoyed it.

Yeah, I agree with you on this. I'm pretty sure this game can be enjoyable too, however I disagree when people bash Final about being pure level grind. It's true leveling could have been shorter (especially past 60) but there is still enough content to make it enjoyable.

One last thing, do you think leveling will be as fun in WoW when they will raise level cap?
In FF, when the game was released, it stopped at 50. They added another 5 level a few months after, and keep going like this for 2 year.
When we got the game, the cap was already at 70 (and become 75 before we could even reach it). Compares 1-60 in WoW to 1-50 in FFXI and leveling is very similar.

No. It's still shorter and you can solo it. But I'm not taking side I like both games I just like bashing Kaylia's arguments.

And Xenosaga is really overated btw Kay.

First thing, XS is great and I will have to kill you for saying such thing. It's not my fault if your brain doesn't have the capacity to figure the plot.

Also, I'm pretty sure someone could get to level 50 in around 3 week, which is similar to the time people spent to get to 60 in WoW

With a perm party going, in FFXI, you can easily get to lvl 50 within 3-4 weeks.

But once you hit 50+ it goes from that dread 7800 exp / lvl to 10000 exp/lvl and goes up quite significantly after that.

I remember those numbers so well b/c i'm still traumatized by them.

Lvl 49 > 50 (7600 exp/lvl)
lvl 50 > 51 (7800 exp/lvl)
lvl 51 > 52 (10000 exp/lvl) WTF?!?! omg i quit. :)

I couldn't stand lvling another job past that.... I don't know how I got BLM to 75..... must've exp botted. :P

I'm sure WoW will prob. be the same way when they raise the lvl cap etc.

Just a matter of time...

You though the game only ok after finishing it but then went and hype yourself on the forum  . You can say the story is great all you want that's a question of taste but with gameplay that boring and that dreadful music in dungeon I certainly can't say it's great. I'll still buy the second one so I can burn you with his flaws for another couple of years.

Some people could get lvl50 in 3 weeks in FF but about anybody could solo to 60 in 3 weeks in WoW.

Omg this is great we are turning that funny thread in one of our pointless and endless Friday night debates.

Sadly yes. The future patch must add content that will last long enough or people will quit. That's why they have to increase exp for one level drastically.

Almost every gameplay bore me to death, XS was no exception. As for the story, I start using the forum after the second time I beat the game and almost no one was discussin about it. I didn't hype it on the forum like you're saying
