i'd pick dwarf. they look like the best race. high STR, good HP. plus they have natural magicfind, which i dont think any other race has. their downside is low AGI (poor defense & evasion, fewer critical hits). but they're just so hawt:

I think I might go Druid Nightelf after all. I really want to know what 2U is going to play before choosing though. I know Yummy is going to go rogue.. Maybe the those of us going nightelf can all discuss. haha.

Only race of the alliance that can be Druid, I think.

I'll prob. go hume or night lef, although I don't know what job I'll pick.

That would prob. change as I read more of it.

paladin in WoW would be like a Pld/Brd from FFXI rather than Pld/War

I have no clue what they look like or how much of a difference there is between human and night elf.

I'll prob. pick nightelf only b/c my g/f will prob. pick nightelf also since she likes nightelf in WC3.

Although that would be like picking elvaan, san'doria.... prob. gonna be the most crowded.

Ya, Whisp made a list of all the abilities of Paladin and a few other classes on the first page. They have something called "hate" which gives it to an ally or themselves. Paladins also make undead runaway haha.

I'll prob. go mage, since blm is kinda fun and the addition of teleport spells will def. make me useful.

I prob. can't do hunter since I dont feel like trying to earn tons of $$ to support myself.

And druid sounds cool cuz of shapeshifting, but also pretty complicated.

the skill i was looking at is, which you don't even get til lvl 22:

Instant cast
30 yard range
Places a Seal on the party member, increasing threat caused by 50% for 15 seconds. Players may only have one Seal on them per Paladin at any one time.

i figured that means +hate, if i'm wrong let me know. i have read on message boards that paladins don't have any real way of holding hate in WoW. the only tanks are warriors, i've read, who also happen to be the best DD too. also i read hunters can use their pets to tank but who knows..

Hmm, I can't decide what class/race I want to be. I'm thinking about night elf hunter, but that seems like a very popular choice. Maybe me and Whisp can both be dwarf hunters. We can walk around with our beards and our guns, like some kind of dwarf mafia. Only problem I see with dwarf is that they have low mana compared to NE, and I think hunters use mana.

Question: is the open beta thing a first come, first serve type deal, or do they review everyone's application and base their decision on that? I have never played a beta version of any game before.
