once you hit lvl 60 it really wont matter its all down to equip and what skills you pick along the way :)

first 10 lvls Drawf paladin will do better but after that it dont matter so pick the one you like the look of rather than their initial stats ;)

when it says i have to expend "skill points" to use a sword as paladin, what does that mean? i dont see any explanation. i dont feel like using a crub again after using one in ff

Skills points are awarded after level 10 for each level after 10 you get 1 skill point so onc eyou hit 60 you will have been awarded 51 skill points, these can be spent in many ways included training your charater to use more weapons etc, ill be teaching my Warrior 2h sword or maybe 2h axe (not sure yet)

Paladin skill calculators are not up yet but should be soon so just wait i guess

Just rememebr these skills can be all kinds of things like increasing critial hit rates improving defence, making spells stronger or cast times lower etc etc, i gave a link somewhere (just look on wowvault - should have some skillpoint calcs there)

but are those the same skill points you use on your talent tree? i.e. more skill in a weapon = less points for talent tree?

so you get 1 skill point and 1 talent point to spend per level, from level 10 to level 60? 51 of each?

if it says Paladin for sword is 30 skill points, that means you have to put 30 points in sword before you can use it? so lvl 39?

Seriously if you guys wanna join a PvP guild send me a PM. We are already established, and have been playing together for over 4 years now. We are playing on a PvP server and already have riled up all the WoW guilds, noteably the most hated one right now DiE. These fags are a bunch of D&D Roleplayers who think they are good. To bad we already have over 30 members gonna be comeing right out the gate when release happens. 5 or so of our members already in beta and are perfecting PvP and how it works so we will have first hand experience going into it. Horde is the side we going to play. Cut-throat no mercy is our motto. Gonna be some crazy shit going down, send me a PM if u want more info on the guild.

Ugh, that kind of cutthroat no mercy competition is actually what I'm trying to avoid by going WoW....

FFXI endgame became a nasty birthplace for racism.

Well, to avoid it just dont play on a PvP server. Its not for everyone, ff11 was purely quest/exp/item oriented, ballista never made it big. Thats all well and good, but i can only take the care bear stuff so much, which is why im looking forward to getting back to killing people in WoW :). Thats just how we have always been, but playing on a PvP server you need to expect it to be that way imo.

Those intrested in PvP, Watch these movies.....get you a generalization on how it is.

"2.4 Will players be able to dynamically affect the storyline? (0 comments)

Yes. There will be world events that allow players to change the world landscape and open new areas to explore. One such event is the opening of the Dark Portal which will be accomplished through the cooperation of several high level warlocks."

Yeah I'm no really interested ingoing to the PvP server. I think the regular servers will have enough oppurtunities in the "battlegrounds" if I ever get the itch. I'm much more interested in a the "cooperating with friends against the badguy" part of the game than trying to collect heads.

Whisp I havent decided what I want to be yet, the three classes I was thinking about (hunter, paladin, warlock) all seem to be "broken" right now, according to various message boards. Hunters and paladins don't have any talents yet, and I've heard that mage>warlock and everything>hunter as far as DPS is concerned. I guess everything will get fixed before release. Right now the safe options appera to be warrior, rogue, and mage. Maybe I will try out warrior, they were always fun in D2, but I would rather try something different. We'll see.

yea, no point making a commitment this early. i still need to wrestle with the dilemma of how can i play and still make good grades, get plenty of sleep, and have a canadian social life...

Whisp puts the Dilemma in a canadian-style headlock.

Hahaha! Bush & his silly American-style headlocks.

anyway, WoW stuff from http://wowvault.ign.com/faq/ :

8.8 Do I have to worry about crafting failures?

No, there are no crafting failures in the game. Raising your skill level will allow you to craft more difficult items instead of increasing your success rate, as is the case in some other MMORPGs.

8.10 Will the items I create bear my name?

Yes, crafted items will show who crafted them.

8.14 Will there be a variety of fish to catch while fishing? Will there be special items, treasure chests, or S.O.S. bottles that are able to be fished up?

Yes. Blizzard is even planning on having seasonal fish -- and they can tie into quests and other trade skills. Players can also fish up things like locked boxes, unique armor, and weapons.

12.1 Will you be able to randomly find items, and if so, will these items be classified as in Diablo II (Rare, Unique, etc.)?

Monsters will have treasure that characters can loot, but these will be drawn randomly from a specific item class for that monster type. Blizzard do not expect to have the same vast amount of random items as in the Diablo series, but it will have items that are rare and even some that could be truly unique by limiting them to only one per server. Like Diablo II, World of Warcraft supports a form of random item generation. Unique items can be created by the system, such as "Sword of Lifestealing" or "Breastplate of Stamina." The game will take the base item, such as a sword, and randomly combine it with a modifier, such as lifestealing.

20.1 How does death work?

When you die, your body falls to the ground and you appear as a ghost in the nearest graveyard. You have three options for resurrection: you can be raised by a player with the resurrection skill and return to life with a temporary rez sickness, you can run back to your body and resurrect yourself, or you can ask a ghost NPC at the graveyard to resurrect you there for a small experience loss. You can raise yourself anywhere within about 40 yards of your body.

20.12 If I loose Xp enough that I drop below zero, what happens?

You enter negative experience points. You do not loose a level.

there are too many mosky toes in barbados

You dont want dual wield in its current form, i hear you do less damage and miss a hella lot more with dual wield, but with all the complaining about this they should change it soon i guess

Im still sticking to Dwarf Warrior with all the dmg tallents i can get my hands on :)

Then ill probably take him up the Rogue path too once War is capped, having been a BRD in FFXI i wanna get a sick DD in WoW :) while keeping all the usefulness i can :)

you cant change jobs

Current Dual wield is equivalent to a 2h weapon....which makes it equal for dmg.

The mainhand dmg is normal, and the second hand is 1/2. But no delay.
