Pro: Can be an edge of seat environment constantly.

Con: You can get ganked while exping at any moment. But since exp loss is nil, its just a matter of time to get back to your body this is less of a penalty and more of an inconvienance.

Pro: Competeing for content involves killing the competition.

Con: Competeing for content involves killing the competition.

Pro: Skill makes the difference in pvp

Con: Gear makes more of a difference

Pro: Competeing with a thinking being is fun

Con: Competition never stops

Con

-When lvling low jobs Retards come kill u on ur allience for no reason but to look cool

-might be too much pvp.

-Quest npcs might be dead too much. ( Read on the site that ppl can kill Quest npcs then have to wait for them to Respawn.)

-too many dumb little kids/ teens

- could have Guild vs guild even on Same allience and fights there

- over all magor drama from Horde vs Allience.

- no SAFE spots in the Game

Pros

- Be able to experience PvP in all new areas.

- Have huge cool Raids to Homeland citys.

- Traveling will be a bit more real with ppl hunting you down and u have to fight them.

- If you have a sucessful Guild you could take a Region of land and defend it with you guild from anyone.

-Being able to Track some one down and have Revenge lol

I would be interested in joining the Horde if everyone else is. The only problem I have read about with the Horde is that their quests require alot of tedious running around, and are marginally more difficult than Alliance quests. I really like the undead. An undead priest or warlock would be tight.

I'm getitng WoW. I looked into it awhile ago, looked really great. I came back to FFXI just as a filler to WoW but got hooked again. WoW is looking great, though.

I'm thinking maybe Mage, Priest, 'Lock. I'll be looking foward to playing with you all!

rofl thats funny whisp.

the problem in this game is going to be something that most FFXI people forgot about.

Real Nerfs.

FFXI has had some nerfs (TP mainly) but nothing that will compare to what NA games have. Not to mention that when your job gets nerfed and your stuck with it.... Sure you can make a nother character but.... who wants to roll a whole new character. That sucks.

Trust me, FFXI has alot less problems than WoW will have.

still Ill give the beta a try, only cause kayne talked me into it.

I don't know about DAoC, but for anyone whom played EQ since release to GoD sure as hell knows about that vicious nerf bat. It swings, for some classes anyway(SK no bias here :)), hard and often.

well Yarr, i dont think people would have too much trouble what i find hard to work out is lastability, i think lvling to max in this game only takes 1 month, and im guessing once at max thats when you can do lots of quests and have fun, the format seems to be leveling and questing helps you learn how to play and where things are, once you are maxed out you just have to go questing more and enjoy what the game has to offer rather than going camping in one place or spending your life sat in jueno, so should a class get nurfed you make a new char in a month your capped again only missing those quests you did, and i guess you can pass on your equip/money from the last account too and make live even easier on the new one :)

I think this is a good amount of time to dedicate to a character. Assuming you play about 30 hours a week, that's 120 hours. This doesnt even compare to FFXI, but once I quit FFXI I realized what a ridiculous amount of time it takes to get a character to max.

Yea i totaly agree TS. like if i have a hour and a half before work i wouldn't log in b/c thats not even close to enough time to find a pt and xp even a bit. If some one told me that before i started the game i think i would have second guessed myself.

Blah, nevermind. Blizzard just posted on BNet that the site is down due to a "Minor maintenance issue and is not related in any way to the start of Open Beta, which will not occur for awhile."

Rein, make another WoW post, but the only things that can be posted there are people's Classes and Races.

That'd help me decide what to go.

Ya, I'll be leaving soon too, probably. The casual gameplay of WoW is just too appealing to me. The end-game stuff looks kinda neat too.
