honestly, even though wow seems awesome, i wouldnt spend 16$ for a 1 week play period and possible acceptance to future betas that i wont even join. you guys might do it but ill just wait for open beta, see you there.

oh um i just remembered, a guy i know that played all betas since start said that stress might be the actual open beta with a different name, so it is possible this is the open beta after all.

heh, I woke up in the middle of the night while this was going on and I get that message "This download is not authorized by this tracker." and lsass.exe (normal Windows system file which never asked for permissions before) is also asking for server permissions. This was hours after Ky said she got a virus from this thing. I hit OK for the tracker thing, blocked lsass.exe, and the download is still going. Weird shit, though.

lol tali, from what i know the thing you are downloading now wont work for stress test because you dont have a key. but i do believe it will work for open beta which is in 1 week when you have another chance to apply to join.
stress test = same old beta with more members
open beta = old beta + all fixes and patches + stress test updates

and that authorized download thing is weird... makes me wonder wtf blizz is doing ;/

Whisp if you want to play now, you have to buy a $16 dollar membership to a website called http://www.fileplanet.com. That is to play the Stress Test for one week. However, in one week the open beta is supposedly coming out, and that is a first come first serve, free thingy. So I think most of us are waiting on the open beta.

You can get a one month membership for like 7.90.

How long does it take for them to send out beta stuff? I've been waiting since I applied last night. :/ Kinda gay it takes so damn long.. by the time I get it, stress test will be over. Haha.

those who are confused about the link i posted just stop DLing it, it wont due you any good. It was leaked out before the fileplanet thing is available for the closed beta ppl, but since u wouldnt be able to use it till OB anyway, u may as well just DL it then which is in a week or so.

i signed up on fileplanet like 2 years ago and i probably download 2 games every 3 months lol, but still it nice to have for demos i find but they have added lots of other things over time.
