Problem with the big raids is that it draws everyone(and it should for PvP). So that means you get super lagged.

although it looked very nice

Surprisngly My machine handles this game MUCH better than FFXI did (with Dynamis as an example)

Whenever I ran into view of 40+ models all I heard was harddrive access and didn't experience any slowdown. (My FPS went down to about 20FPS avg though, which is quite tolerable).

Another thing I noticed is the severe lack of network lag too...

From what I recall in Dynamis, network lag was actually quite insane with 40+ ppl, and not to mention 20 of those ppl were usually not visible on screen simply because the engine couldn't handle it.

Oh, my machine:

p4 2.8ghz-C
1 GB ram (dual-channel) DDR
Radeon 9700 Pro

I think that's all the important parts. (oh and i run it at 1280 X 1024)

I've heard from other people, like Kayne and a few others, that they can tell when the opposing faction comes within range b/c their game hiccups to load the models. I just tend to hear a lot of harddrive access.
