What's an example of not forcing progression in the raid content?

Well, we will have raid bosses (like Ragnaros - a gigantic Elemental Fire God), who you can reach without having to go through a lower-tier raid boss. But he is much more difficult than Onyxia. So you can access both of them early on, but Ragnaros will be a higher-tier encounter.

u should see the WoW dragon. But it is true, WoW's detail in models isnt as much as ffxi.. its more cartoony so its almost uncomparable. But ill sacrafice that for a game i like more.

That last Patch/update they did Everything has different skin now. All the gods... and even the tutle has Genbu skin normal tutle skin the then a King Vesion skin.

nope that doesnt work.. Watch some vids and ull see.. that a trick.. zerging gods doesnt work. You have to have organization and stuff.. go find the onxyia vids and ull see that.

and i agrre that wow graphics kill the hell outta ffxi. But ffxi models were nicer. I always felt like i was playing a ps1 game.

Am i mistaken, or is that Durotar? Kinda looks like thunder ridge behind him. Wow, they even put the Old Gods in the game thats frickin sweet. That is one thing I don't like about Final Fantasy, it has no continuous storyline. But this game is awesome because it IS part of the story, what we are doing in this game could shape where they take us next, that is one of the little things that makes Wow 100 times better than FF11 ever will be. I do have hope for the next FF MMORPG though ( if they make one )

Every little detail in Final Fantasy XI is tied into a central story. Just because you got rank 6 in one city doesnt mean you know the story. Each city's city ties into each other. As well as the Zilart missions tie in and the Dynamis story line takes the Rank missions even farther.

Lets not forget about Promathia story line.

You can bash grouping, graphic or what ever. But you can not bash the story line in FFXI.

pssh. Shadow Lord is more intimidating than that thing. Anyone who thinks that WoW is better than FFXI needs to go get their head checked. FFXI is much more intricate than this sorry excuse for a game. Biggest waste of money I've ever seen. Blizzard take notes from SE, you might learn something. geez. Whatever floats your boat I guess. I think it's retarded that people quit FFXI for this though. Well enjoy it people cause I know we are all enjoying FFXI and it's superiority.

obviously comeing from someone who has not played WoW. The discussion of WoW and FF11 being better ect is not even open to debate. Every game magazine agrees, everyone who has tried it agrees, everyone who quit ff11 which we have played for over a year (which pretty much lets you get the feel of the game and experience most of what it has to offer) agrees, WoW is hands down a better all around game.

While you are all still bowing to the japs and their bots and all the gilsellers, we are actually paveing the way for a new mmorpg, makeing our OWN market, not buying into the one some foriegners set first. When FF11 dies in America....which i give it a few more months, see you all in WoW, and if not, your missing out on one of the best games ever created.

As for the storyline, umm DUHH the Warcraft lore has been around a fucking LOT LONGER then the FF11 lore. Not the FF lore but the FF11 lore since each FF is different, even tho they still might have a few of the same things, the avatars, classes ect. So again, as for the story WoW holds true to its 10 year+ old storyline, and is incorporated throughout the entire game as you play.

Oh and guess what, the quests u do change how the world works, the different factions who are in control ect. Much more in depth then ooo look im rank 10 now.....who gives a shit.

Bottom line, people like both games for different reasons, i prefer to have fun while playing games, instead of feeling like im clocking in for a job and working to get even the smallest thing done. Thus i play WoW and will never even consider playing FF or a SE game again.
