Well i went on a raid yesterday and found out my comp cant handle it. My comp is : Dell Demension 8400 128 ATI Radeon x300 vid card 512 MB Ram 200 gigs of space I wont waste space with the other stuff if you need to know nething just ask me and ill post it. My bros comp is the same and it runs fine.He has a Gateway with a Nvidea card or however you spell it. |

Jakub you left out CPU chip set and speed also better to run on 1 Giga rams or up right now I am running 64 AMD CPU 3500+ chip 1 Giga rams 256 MB ATI Radeon (forget name) and 120 GB HD with 3 mb DL cable with router and it runs just fine for me |

i bet its all the pron you look at leaving spyware :P run the registry cleaner on this software for starters.. http://www.asmwsoft.com/ next get hold of the VIA 4in1 drivers here: http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2 then get the latest gfx drviers from here: http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati/win2k_xp.php re-run the asmw reg cleaner and any other features on that. Finally run a decent virus checker (NOT NORTON - norton is a damn virus) Then come back to us with any results. Those steps are things you should run every month! |

im just in shock at the versatility of this game..... I've played it on 3 different computers: A- p4 2.8c GHZ 1 GB dual channel DDR Radeon 9700 pro. (Game works fine of course, Rarely do i see slight pauses when loading new areas, usually happened when flying into iron forge.) During raids of 40+ ppl, FPS dropped to 20-30, and even then all i heard was harddrive access when seeing horde models, There was no pause in gameplay. B- p4 2.0c GHZ 512MB DDR Radeon 8500 Game works fine, plays amazingly smooth. THere are noticeable pauses when loading new areas, usually only when there are a lot of models to load. (Like entering new cities) During raids the fps does drop to about 10-20 fps, but its still playable really. Oh, and there is a slight pause in gameplay when loading horde models. C- p4 1.7a GHZ 512 MB DDR Radeon 9600 Game works okay, its not smooth at all times, simply b/c of high polygon counts, the fps might drop to 10-20 fps. (This processor is the old p4 processor, quite crappy) More severe loading pauses, notice it the most while flying from place to place (probably b/c the travel speed requires much more loading within a shorter period of time). I have yet to go on a large raid with this computer, but I'd assume there would be a puase in loading horde models, and a drop in fps. Overall? This game is just incredible in the amount of computers it can run on and the low reqs. to play it. For a game that has no zones, and still look as good as it does (ill admit the cartooniness prob. makes it easier to 3d model) i commend blizzard for just making a good engine. (I can't say the same for Halflife 2.... b/c as nice as the game looked and the physics were fun, the map sizes were just insanely bad. Nothing more annoying than load times ever 5 min) |

I never noticed a slow down once on my computer in the beta, even with 100 people on my screen fighting mobs it kept a steady 30-40 fps  whereas FFXI just keels over in similar situations heh
But yeah im gonna have to try it on my laptop, can you play on 2 computers at once with the same login? (im guessing no...) thinking if i could have 2 jobs follow each other around heh cause my laptop could run this game im sure. (maybe a question to ask elsewhere...) |
