In wow they can raise the cap to 100 easy, just add some new area's spells, quests, armor and your good

in ffxi 75 HAD to be limit due to subjobs

Yeah, lvl 1-50 wasnt' that bad in FFXI either... altho its not as easy as WoW, and of course the beginning lvls of 1-30 weren't soloable in FFXI....

but in general, its not that surprising that WoW powergamers would reach cap soon.

At least concerning FFXI... it was after lvl 50... that things got nasty.

50 -> 51 7700 exp
51 -> 52 10000 exp ><; (i still remember the first time i saw that, i was expecte 7800 or 7900 exp)

lol guys it took like 2 months for the Hardcore NA players to get to like 50. (like new years time people were around level 50 i think) and thats with servers with established ecconomies.

People are only going to level faster and faster.

Yeah, some people need something else to do other than play WoW. Like... a job :P

Then again I wasn't employed for about half the time I played FFXI, so I guess I'm just bitter that I now have to work 40 hours a week and can't spend as much time in WoW as I did in FFXI.

Being a high level on a PvP server would be kind of nice. I know that if I had more free time I'd probably be level 40+ and not have to worry about getting ganked :P

Im gonna gank you if you dont come back for atleast one Dynamis Xacabard raid.

maybe so.... but in retrospect... i think i had the most fun in FFXI at endgame when i was with CKD and at lvl 75. (I quit for other reasons obviously)

The path getting to 75 was a bumpy road... sometimes it was fun, but mostly it was frustration.

At least with WoW, its not as bad GETTING to end game... and hopefully that's where all the fun will be also.

Besides, i'm not looking for a game that will eat up 5 years of my life... if WoW only lasts 3-4 months, so be it... I still got my money's worth :D

I'm #14 on my server, and I really haven't even been trying to lvl.. just doing quests, working trade skills, doing instances, having fun!

I have alot of beta experience though, 1 to 30-40 takes very little time when you know all the quests.

People that are L45-50+ are most likely not one person. 2-3 people, or maybe even a guild toon played 24/7 in a race to be the first to 60. (epeen+1)

If you think about it though, 24/7 for 10 days = 240 hours. For a casual player doing 4 hrs a night that's 60 days. 2 months to get to L50+ for the normal person.

Leveling in this game is not that fast. If I had a perma and played every night in FFXI for 4 hrs for 2 months I would probably be higher then L50. FFXI's downfall was having to wait 7-8 hours to get a group to even enjoy the game.

naw, i didn't really push it aside, i just didn't agree in the same sense as you do.

At lvl 75 in FFXI, i wasn't saying to myself... "Wow, that took a lot of time and effort, now to revel in the glory that is 75."

I was more like "thank god that crap is over, I'm never lvling another job to 75 again."

If you want to pay to play and play a game that makes u suffer for 6 months first, then by all means enjoy FFXI again on a 2nd lvl 75 job. :D

To be honest, I just didn't know any better (nor had better options at the time), FFXI was my first MMORPG.

My favorite part of FFXI wasn't the fact that I was 75, but was working as a team doing stuff like Dynamis, or HNMs. It was actually BORING being 75 without dynamis and HNM (just ask anyone not in CKD )

My friend at school keeps wanting me to play WoW.

He plays all the time, I think his char is lvl 41 now.

I truely believe this game was MENT for PvP. They want us all to max out and kill each other repeadedly. Its a Blizzard Game and WARCRAFT at that, meaning kill ur oponent, being a mmorpg doesnt allow this a pass on that.

There will be endgame content, plus ALWAYS pvp when maxed out. Along the lines of FFXI being harder to lvl and whatnot, all i have to say is when i log onto WoW i have fun playing, when i logged into FFXI it was like clocking in for a job.

I'm only 32 atm so im not on the list of my server
I also have a job and a socal life also so im not worried to much

what im saying is.. Getting to a high level and enjoying the trip there is much better then getting there and hating the trip there. Especially in video game where the soul purpose one plays is to enjoy themselves.
