God quit bashing WoW endgame. Honestly, Yarr, you've been wrong on just about everything you've predicted for it. WoW is NOT a zerg endgame. FFXI was a game meant to compete with fucking Phantasy Star Online. What kind of endgame is that???? Getting frusterated as hell because there's not enough of it and too many japanese players?

WoW's endgame is SUPERIOR to FFXI's. It's just as simple as that. Too bad you aren't part of the fun. Yes, I used the word "fun", which is something i DARE not use for FFXI.

Battlegrounds will add ALOT of excitement, but WoW is going to have the most endgame raid content ever seen in a game, I can assure you that.

PLUS it has a random Item generator, like D2, so there will ALWAYS be new items to find (though it's funny to find ones like [Brilliant Red Wand of the Monkey] )

Battlegrounds will be alot of fun indeed. You'd have to be on crack to say the PvP game in FFXI is better than that.

I think yarr for the most part is kidding, i played wow on beta and i didn't like it much, but that doesn't mean wow suchs, i just didn't allow it to consume me thats all. I;m sure its pretty cool, but one question why are you guys talking about end game stuff already, hasn't the game only been out for 2 months ?

alot of people have capped out at 60 already, but most guilds don't have enough 60 to do end game content like ragnaros and oxynia (the two most common raid bosses that drop the "uber loot") the one thing i like about the endgame content is it is instanced so every guild has a chance at it and camping is not a problem at all like it was in FFXI... soo much less of a time dump :D

I'm with you mikey... I tried it out in beta... and well to put it nice, it just wasn't my thing. But really, end game stuff already?

actually... i didnt start too long ago and im already lvl 57 (rogue). i kind of like WoW because i can play it casually, and i dont have much time to play games anymore. The problem i had with FFXI is waiting. Waiting to get a group or find members for one, waiting for a spawn, waiting for some help for some mission i couldnt do alone.... it just got boring and, mainly of camping spawns (i had enough of that on EQ) and progressing toward no where.

for ffxi, im not sure if im quitting yet... im having computer problems right now, just ordered a new motherboard/cpu, but i still have my account and am not sure if i will quit or come back

im sure battlegrounds will be fun. Im picturing DAoC but better

You cant really judge an "End game" when the game is only 2 months old, not even. Imagine playing FFXI when is first came out, when the level cap was 50, and there was no AF to do or anything. What the heck would you do all that time. ;p

In any case FFXI is definately a longer, more challenging, and hardcore game than WoW is, which would lead to longer playability. Just give WoW time like any other game.

WoW slows down like crazy, too.

50+ is all full party quests basically or a really good and skilled combo like pld/war/rouge(mage)

THE best thing in WoW is that it's so SKILL based. By skill I mean two things. 1) Very little do you just "autoattack" with any one class. You're always using skills 2) because of that, player skill factors in ALOT both in PvP and PvE. You have your arsenal but there's no clear-cut standard as to what to use. One player can just rock you from 5 levels behind, and you can turn around and defeat a crappy one 5 levels above you. Imagine PvP almost like a game of counterstrike. You have your arsenal of weapons (skills), and there is a huge variety of ways to use them.
