Quit making stupid remarks about WoW without even playing it.
You guys will say something like "tahts really dumb," or "god did children make wow the graphicz are so bad lol im gunna go play halo2 on xbox 4 sum gud graphicz".

WoW is a really great game, and I mean, PLAY it first (not "I tried it in OB till level 10") I mean ACTUALLY play it. The levels are fast, so get to 20-30 and then you can bash the hell out of it.

WoW chat should really be for people who play wow to say what they like/dislike about it, their adventures (yes, there are really great adventures you have...which is the biggest thing missing from FFXI for me) and their accomplishments ect. But instead we have FFXIers who like to point at the screenshots or read an article and denounce WoW.

Now I'm not insulting these people but i'm saying you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. And Yarr, you know nothing of the WoW endgame, and if really wanted a good endgame you should BE at WoW or an EQ/DAoC type game, not FFXI.

Okay that's just my two cents if I'm wrong here feel free to flame me I just think the WoW thread should be reserved for WoW players or people wanteing to know about it

i actually believe you ponuh. Although i haven't caught on to the wow bug it doesn't mean the game is junk my rl friend actually loves the game and seriously wants me to join the game besides him. But lol theres no point of writing this in thread since it will be locked for a stupid "make believe" reason

Like i said in other thread... he can call me a retart and say i play ass all day... all he wants, as long as he lets me use these FREE, (no popups, or ads either :P ) great forums.

Tooyoo I'm not insulting Yarr, he's really cool and he hasn't banned me; I envy his guild and hope that our guild on WoW will be like this one.

But I'm just saying, he's many times one of the first to post about how lame something is, and he's not the only person.

anyways, yeah FFXI is awesome and so is WoW sooooo I play them both it just sucks i have to make a gaming schedule lol

if you think people are flaming WoW, you should have seen the inferno when FFXI NA Released. :(

Im critical of wow because people act like its the best thing since sliced bread.

Its ok, its a good MMO. Its not perfect, its not omfg drop-my-pants-hot! Its just average and another MMO that follows the cookie cuter MMO design.

But true, honestly i'm not too into the graphics but it does follow suit with the other Warcraft games so it was expected. It maybe slightly more fun than FFXI but that could be because it's so easy. When I play FFXI i'm thinking, "damn this game is insane, it's almost a priveledge to say you've hit a certain level in it." When i'm playing WoW i'm like, "i'm gonna have level eleventy billion tonight and reroll another character for the heck of it"

The difficulty level is somewhere right in the middle of Ragnarok Online and FFXI.

I don't really know Yarr all that well, so if this statement is waaaayyyy off, just say so :P

Isn't part of all the little slaps at the WoW and the people playing it really because WoW doesn't suck? That is, how many level 70+ players have stopped playing FFXI because they're having more fun with WoW, and how much harder is it to get things done in FFXI with those players gone?

not really

the only people from CKD who play now quit before WoW was out. Peejo, K, Nesso, t2 and Kayne. Nesso was online yesterday and so was kayne. Peejo, k and 2u quit before WoW came out. We also lost Zadan too but he still pops around the forums.

Everyone quits at some point, its just a matter of if we lost touch totally. So far almost anyone in CKD who has left on good terms is easy to get a hold of. Thanks to the forums.

I have not lost any friends to WoW. People who quit to play wow are still my friends.

yeah it's True W.O.W isn;t that bad at all it's true when ppl are all like omfg omfg must get it now and Trash FFXI. I did play WoW for their open beta and i actuly had fun while playing it... besides the Waiting 1 hr to get in "server full" crap. but again while playing it... it just seemed very easy haha. even though i didn't play to long but i got to lvl 20 War and from getting to lvl 20 in FFXI and lvl 20 in W.o.W...FFXI makes WoW look like a joke. But i did like the Idea of doing quests and getting xp scrolls. but again personly i think the ppl who didn't Reach lvl 75 in FFXI and quit just wanted to look for something Easyier which is kinda a shame. Capping out on a Job feels soooooo good haha.[/u]

I dont think anyone has ever lashed out at WoW seriously on here...two of my friends irl play WoW, its actually a good MMO, its just that FFXI is my preferred choice. If I ever say anything that flat out dumb about WoW at all, take it from me, I'm not being serious.


And on that note....WoW is teh s uck.

I like WoW...and FFXI. I play ffxi on my ps2, and WoW on my compy. I like both, however everything tali said in his paragraph i completly agree with.

FFXI was not challenging. It was tedious and stressful.

Yes, that did make it 'feel good' to hit 75 and everything, but no it was not a fun challenge. Just a long frustrating grind. There was no exciting challenge in killing the same mob after mob for hours. I only bring this up because people are saying that WoW is too easy and FFXI is hard.

I loved FFXI, but WoW is better, to me.

Yes on the other hand you can get to 60 too fast in WoW, and progression comes to a dead halt as far as exp. The game is young and I'm looking forward to whatever they add for hero classes and other end-game stuff. In the mean time I'll be hunting recipes, new gear, and playing my hunter.

Yeah that is a good point. But i Find in FFXI now that i have it 75 and all that jazzz i can now do End game stuff. Like HNM alost easyier and not CoP stuff aswell as Gods. CKD is now getting to the point where we Farm kirin a regular basis and haveing the Gear i ahve and the stuff i'm able to do is such a Goal like that and have it done is Great and SE keeps adding more and more stuff. And i totaly agree that the Xp Grind in FFxi is quite unbareable most the time but again that what gives u the awsome Feeling when u hit 75.

talking about end game stuff on wow scares me, there would be no real gap between veterans and newbies, prehaps thats the point. I've heard from my friend how fun wow is. I had him see FF running and he said simply wow, he loved how the characters in ff move. Personally trying both movement in ff is awesome and wows movement blows. Still doesn't mean the game sucks. Both have there respective strong points. But .... one thing that bothers me , somewhere in wow is piro i pray for the server and the players who have him to deal with, with honestly is a huge let down lol. I love the story behind warcraft though, i also love the story behind FF If you ask me which one i like better? I would say warcrafts but only because its a ever continuing story, whereas FF is one world at a time, although FFonlne is a contining story. Rather warcrafts story has developed over 10 years where FFonline has only had 3 years with story plots broken down over months to waste peoples lives haha, but on another side note WOW would probably do the same after it grows older lol. Both are equal in my eyes

One thing I liked about ffxi was the missions and rank. The quests sucked so bad but the missions were cool. I also had fun killing Genbu, Fenrir, and that manticore NM that drops the Joyuese or whatever, we got that for Avoloc.

Doing that stuff is fun but the drama that comes with an HNM ls isn't worth it to me. The camping at 5am only to compete with some smartass JP ONRY players isn't very appealing either.

I turned down a lot of people asking me to join Dynamis runs because I hate the idea of having to sit at the computer without being allowed to go afk at all or else you get bitched at. And I currently turn down about 2-3 instance runs each night for the same reason. I play a lot but I'm pretty laid back about that sort of thing. At least I can only occasionly do instances but still play the game and enjoy it and get stuff accomplished. I like doing them but i don't like being stuck at the computer... (remember how I didn't like skirmishes and clan matches? lol)

I do wish they'd add rank/missions to WoW. They're gunna have some kind of pvp rank thing, maybe it will be like that. Class specific quested armor that doesn't suck would be nice too (like AF).

I'm currently being pissed off about faction imbalance, and the dead-end lvl 60 exp design. You can look up my posts in the official forum and bump them lol.

edit: Mikey they mentioned that Hero classes will be hardcore somehow. Hopefully the noobs won't survive that, yet they can get to lvl 60 and still participate with heroes amongst them ^O^
