just noticed naiobi's claim, you say your mage made a possible 3500 damage attack in one second, not counting the afflicting previous second which most likely reduced the 3500dmg's dps rate, so meaning he must have done two consistant high damage attacks without casting time to cause 3500 dps, since you did say 'through the fight', not at 'one point in the fight'. oh well, i can kill any mage in one volley

Pyro crit + fireblast crit could do 3200 in 1 second (not including the DOT, but they have long cooldown. Those are the strongest spells in the game.

Did you mean 350dps?

Mages can reach 3000+ dps, with enough targets.... aoe

Overall though, mages will beat rogues in pure damage output.

Oh and I learned a cute trick about hunters vs rogues... feign death resets combo points. :D

you guys dont even play on a pvp server, lvling is all easy and dandy. Only one way to truely who can take who and thats just str8 up fighting constantly. theres plenty of ways for all classes to beat any classes, but chances of them performing 100% in every pvp situation is very minimal.

Rogues are the easiest class on PvP servers, and also the most popular class for obvious reasons. Easy to solo and easy to gank and avoid being ganked....

There's no denying PvP is harder than PvE

Yeah, my point is just that its not about what is "harder" or "more challenging" to play, since playing as a rogue in a PvP server isn't going the "more challenging" route either.

Just play the way you want, where you want... in the end its still the same when it comes to PvP raids.

PvP servers just have harder times lvling b/c of ganking.

Not bashing PvE, that's their route and it's fun, but I've said it before and I'll say it again, if I never got ganked I'd level twice as fast. Just as I'm typing this i'm being camped by a level 60 Priest because our guild is on their KoS list. She runs up on her epic mount and just kills me. However, I got a polymorph off on her, and the screenshot is going on the forums now :D

Yeah the aoe thing, didn't really think about that... this game has turned my brain to mush. I'll have to check my dps next time i'm in lyceum or something. ^O^

I think they should just let you gain/lose exp for pvp. Gain exp when you kill someone same/higher level, lose exp when you die to someone same/lower level. Then pvp would be more than a distraction ^^ Other than just having fun I don't see any difference between pvp other than being ganked, or ganking. =\

I guess they'll add an honor system though. Hopefully it's nice.

lol, i havent checked this in such a long time. i dont really feel like arguing about anything since im prob gonna quit wow some time, guild is just holding me back from doing it.

1. feign death doesnt work when you're stunned then take 2k damage after it.
2. forgot about aoe damage, congrats you can kill bugs in a few seconds.
3. why is dozi still preaching about pvp vs pve, we all know pvp is funner.
4. i dont even know why i made this post, i was just really bored and thought i would bother everyone with some crap. dps and one hit damage doesnt really matter, all that matters is who can win in 1v1.
5. yea magic uses are good pve, but pvp you are cake.
6. cosmos sucks, it ruins my screen and makes me die a lot. w00t for cosmos and it's extra bars that kill you

Heh, if all you think that matters is 1 vs 1.... you're playing the wrong game. :P

There are lots of cheaper games to play that you don't even need to subscribe to, to get 1 vs 1 gaming.

I play MMORPGs cuz of the community and the group competition~.

I felt the same way in DAoC

people went on about how good they were 1v1. Lets face it PvP on MMOs dont require all that much skill. The require knowlage and a little bit of quick thinking.

however, If i wanted to show off my PvP 1v1 skills id start playing Quake III again.

and why quit wow so early koda, u should be about 60 now. Start going on those high lvl instances, they are fun as hell!!! being 60 hasnt slowed down my shit to do list at all.

Hehe dozi hows your guild doing?
Tyranny's been running the Upper Spire everyday at 7 for the past 2 weeks and we also have a TON of keys. Is your server doing open runs or guild runs?

Theres plenty of raids on all instances, but the top lvl guilds don't like each other so they are constantly trying to outdo each other. its pretty gay but oh well. But these guilds will not last, they just invite any hi lvl they can reguardless of reputation and how the person plays/acts. When i go on raids with these idiots, its NON STOP bickering over who can roll on what loot, im better then you are at this, people trying to weasel their way to more loot.......and they are supposed to get my respect as a guild just because they have a bunch of hi lvls?? lol no. they bring like 20 people and just attack evrything in sight, no planning strategy nothing, its like raiding with a bunch of noobs. I have already been run through the hi lvl instances and am ready to do it when my guild gets up to lvl. I stopped going on raids with the other top lvl guilds just because i don't want to be associated with their childishness.

My guild relys on skill and makeing the cut, we don't invite just anyone like the other hi lvl guilds on my server. My guild is also not made up of powergamer dorks who only wanna get the best shit for themselves. My crew will cap out soon and we will run all the instances as well, im in no hurry since i already know my way through all the hi lvl instances, so when my team is ready we will do it up.

We certainly are not competeing to be THE BEST guild on server, as we do not care enough about it. All the other big guilds are disorganized, greedy, and just flat out have no skill.

Would CKD of gotten to be the best NA linkshell on Ifrit if they had just invited every lvl 70+ they could?? lol no, Being a guild leader Yarr knows where im comeing from on this post.
