As i was looking through allakhazam i dropped by this instance to see what is was all about. I noticed that most of the mobs there don't have any drops listed. Does this mean that this is that hard that no one can get to the bosses? Hmmm level 500. . . exaguration? (sp -.-)

The whole "Level 500" thing is just an error with Cosmos and other UIs that force lvls to be revealed.

Maybe its not an actual error, but all bosses are labeled lvl 500, even though they are all different difficulties, and of course not even close to lvl 500. (In terms of resists, hit/miss ratios etc.)

I.e. the boss in uldaman is "lvl 500" and clearly doable for a lvl 45~ group.

But to be fair, I've never heard of a group surviving past the first 5 pulls of Molten Core.

Molten Core is a Raid instance at the bottom of Blackrock Depths. Very Tough, full of level 62+ giants and elementals and fun stuff like that which hit really hard. Think of it as the worst bosses being the normal mobs there and that's Molten Core.

I guess Raid instances are the WoW Dynamis, but less people. You need a group of 40, and that group needs to have done the BRS, Schol, and Strat farming to get the gear you need to succeed in Molten Core.

Many people have been farming BRS, Schol, and Strat for over a month now, so, I guess you'll start to see some groups capable of farming Molten Core soon. The drops in there make the BRS, Schol, and Strat drops look like a joke. I'm thinking it won't be until some group has farmed MC for a couple months before anyone makes a serious challenge to Onyxia.

I've only been in the Molten Core once, and it didn't take long to figure out that I wasn't ready for it. Back to more farming BRS, Schol, and Strat for me. This is definitely one phase of the game that I hate. My guild only has 5 level 60's now, so, I have to either get pickup groups or spend a lot of time sitting around doing nothing. Fortunately, there are maybe 10 more people who are getting close to where they can come to BRS, Schol, and Strat soon and then things will start to move forward for me again.

lol first 5 pulls. we killed about 9-10 monsters in there about 2 weeks ago before we gave up, full 40 raid... tough place though

Onyxia was laready killed a couple days ago by NA:

My guild has 22 60s, and 5 people within 6 levels.

And Molten Core is full of exploits atm, so like Oxynia, I'll be really impressed when someone kills it once fixed(see front page sticky on forums)

had access to onyxia for awhile now, problem is all the hi lvl guilds all hate each other on my server lol. the loot whoreing is out of control its kind of funny, so no idea when onyxia will be tried, theres definatly over 40 horde with the amulet.

BTW: Which instance does alliance have to do as a step in getting their amulet. Horde has to do Lower Blackrock Spire with 5 people which is hard as hell and takes like 6 hours.

too bad it caps out at 1.5 levels of rested atmo

i'm really hating the instance bug with MC and Onyxia, it locks you out once you kill a monster and you have to bring back the same 40 which is ridiculous. we have 52 level 60s in our guild and cannot do shit for a week because we have to wait for the lock to reset :x

yeah same problem on my server on Kil'jhaeden. ive had onyxia key for quite some time and so have many others, but a lot of us hate each other. Also, ninja looting (which is damn lame) is getting to be quite popular on my server, so a lot of people lately are getting BListed.

I havent been playing a whole lot of late, just waiting on BG to come out or more people in my guild to get the onyxia key... we about about 20 lvl 60's in the guild and only maybe 7 in have key

Any of you beat Molten Core already ? We tried it yesterday with a full raid group. Man, that place is evil. We killed the 2 first golems and gave up after 4 wipes lol.

When you pull the fire elemental, they split up in 5-6 more elemental. All of them have Fire AoE that cause quite some damage among the group. All right, this was our first time there, so maybe we just sucked. It it clear that we need better organization and/or better equipment to have a chance. So, anyone got some experience in there ?

You werent pulling the fire elementals correctly then, if you get a person damaging an add it won't spawn more, just have to hit it up asap.

Ok thx, well, as I said, that was our first time. The mob we pulled was the Stone Elemental, can,t remember the name exactly.
