How many hours play time does it take to get to 60?

im joining a server with irl friends...um wind something or nother lmao

if u focus on leveling and not fucking around like most do, you can get to 60 - 3-4 weeks irl...not sure on the exact hours total spent but thats what me and many others have done.

It takes the same length. Someone could hit 75 after 2 months if they could XP constantly, hell look how fast BST level. I just didn't spend 6 months sitting in Jeuno LFG.

A game shouldnt take 10+months to reach max lvl...

Thats why a lot of people regard FFXI as a job. Would have been better if they had never increased the lvl cap to 75. Games are meant to be fun, sure you can have fun in those 10months, but also you want to get to the end game because certain things are not accessible as a low level player. FFXI is for the hardcore I like to grind levels and have a lot of time. WoW is more for somebody who wants to have fun and play casual.

its pretty much the same amount of xping except in ffxi you only actually xp 20% of the time... so suxorz

Overall I think WoW is on par with FFXI....

Keep in mind FFXI's current lvl cap of 75 is after a bunch of patches and updates from their ORIGINAL cap of lvl 50.

(I'm pretty sure each lvl limit quest etc. was created with each time the lvl cap was raised)

WoW will probably be the same way... in that once they raise the lvl limit it will be much slower than the 1-->60 grind... etc.

FFXI is so much faster 1-> 50 than 51 ->75...

Oh no, had I played FFXI when the cap was 50, the classes were balanced, etc. It would have been great. They catered FAR too much to the japanese gamer.

Let me remind you...

in FFXI, like "halfway" is level 62 exp wise, which wasn't even close to being added originally. That means that wayy less than half the level climb was in place originally. WoW is young, and, at least on a PvP server, it is much more engaging and "fun" than FFXI could honestly ever be.

WoW has so many things to do and so many easy ways to gain exp that it's ridiculously fun and if you play it after playing ffxi, it will be hard to quit

If being able to play right away after loggin in = "easy mode" then yes.

How much of that 10 months was spent sitting in Jeuno just WAITING to PLAY the game ?

I still believe that if you had a perma in FFXI that played 3-4 hrs a night and where always there you could get 75 just as fast as you can get 60 in WoW

well looking on initial caps

FFXI release cap = 50
I got to level 50 in just over 2 weeks on SMN

Now in FFXI it took 4 weeks to get level 60

Note level 66 is around the half way mark for XP in FFXI

Whats to say when Bliazzard release the 'Hero' level (post 60) who says they wont take a week for each level to reach??

Compairing FFXI and WoW to reach lvl 60 is approx the same, jsut WoW is new and no caps have been raised yet :P

Yes, you're right, that was rude.

No I did not exploit, no "horde xp exploit" even exists, sounds like an Alliance fairy tale. I killed monsters and did quests like everyone else.

Hell I don't even think I "got to 60 so fast". Like I said, both my Mage and Hunter took around 11 days played to get to 60, this seems about avg for most experienced beta players.

Fast = L60 in 7-8 days played. The first L60 players had crazy times like that, and where 60 weeks before I ever was.

It must be that you're on a PvE server and I'm not used to the difference in server pace.

Hmmm im 19 now, when i hit 20 where should i go?

When I hit 60, my played was 8 days 13 hours. This included some time sitting in the IF to sell enchanting etc. If my computer didn't break, I could had gotten 1-60 in about 3 weeks. But with holiday + computer problem, it took me 5 weeks total (11/23-12/30).

WoW and FFXI, I'd have to say WoW is so much easier to level. You don't even need a party to xp unless you want to do quests. Some of them you do have to have at least a partner. I play a priest, I can say, WoW is the only game I've seen so far a healer can solo all the way to 60 without pt.

on pve.. lvling is all you do. So of course they hit it friggen quick. First 60 on pvp server was like 2 and a half weeks..
