Yes I'm happy for this, but on our server gold farmers run rampant, and they are even ALL in the same freaking guild. I'd just wish they'd ban them too.

Someone I know on lothar bought 900g for $300 from IGE or ebay or something... but anyway, he bragged about it a lot and Blizz ended up deleting the 900g. He's out $300 now Owned.

So at least they're doing something about it. It's harder to get the actual gold sellers though I'm sure they're careful what they say in the chat and everything.

Maybe that's how it is on your server, but the ones on my server (the farmers in Azshara and Winterspring 24/7) all harass players and spam them with duels over and over. Now this is a form of harassment and can be suspendable by a GM (Which i have done to quite a few of the farmers to help clean up my server's economy! =))

As much as I hate people who do casinos and people who scam with em. There are people who do this legit and its a quick and fun way to make alot of money. I dont see how its a TOS violation unless youre ripping people off.

Blizzard likes to just nuke everything even if it means taking out a few innocent people.

If SE and Bliz combined they could make a good team :P I like how Bliz handles gilsellers etc., but WoW really is too easy/fast of a game. I still can't get over how people got to 60 in two weeks.

Bleh, I'm talking about the fact that anyone can get 60 in two weeks and obtain the best gear for your character in about a month or less. The good thing about an exp penalty is that it can weed out some of the shitty players before they're able to reach the cap.

I dunno, I liked WoW when I played it, but it did get stale pretty fast, especially past the 50s. Both FFXI and WoW have their flaws, though, with FFXI's biggest flaw being the issue of linkshells whoring HNMs by using packet sniffers, etc.

I hope you don't consider the noob sets like Shadowcraft the best items in the game.

What was the endgame equipment for lvl 50 when ffxi first came out? lol..

... actually what was the endgame? Kill the guy in castle zvhal for rank 5 and get airship pass = beat the game. I wonder how many people quit because of lack of content.

I seriously hope ur joking. The best gear in the game is amzingly hard to get. You have to get 40 people who know exactly what the fuk they are doing to go thru instances like MC to get a shot at ONE PIECE dropping. g/l sir.

Then chop peopel pvp for a month get sick and come back to ffxi again.

But I wouldn't doubt those would be fun 2-3 months. I probably would've enjoy it for that long sure. Plenty of my friends plays wow.

As for Festaru.. If that was the end game for you, killing sl for rank5/10 and getting on airship, then you are probably better off in wow.. lol don't think you coudl've gotten anywhere in ffxi. Weak

oh yea you are right I didnt' read the whole post.

Anyways, don't really have anything against wow players, I do have a lot of RL friends over there, and they tell me its fun and all want me to come over and blah blah blah.. BUT I find it annoying when someone point out something about that game (like what kayne said) people got all tense like dark and dinav. So I made a funni.

Like I've said long time ago in the other posts, its 2 diff type of games yea. Both game is a waste of time, cepts you can do things faster in wow, not wasting as much time as ffxi, like getting lvl and getting rare items. ( I do still believe its much harder to get rare stuff in ffxi, don't really need to list the impossible to get craps. omg relic upgrade where? )

For wow, you get to 60 in 2 weeks - a month, so what.. no one is laughing at you. If you are so embarrassed about playing a easier/faster game to the point when someone says some fact about the interaction of that game, and you get all defensive like a girl in a pmsing way, then I dont' evne know why you are playing that game. Go play a game you won't be embarrassed of maybe..

With that said, yea, casinos are really ok, they not hurting anyone unless they are scamming. You either choice to ignore them, or be noisy and try to fock with them.

Be it easier to lvl and or get better loot, i have fun playing WoW something that died out after a few months of FF11 when it turned into work. I game for fun, and pvp, thus i stay where i have fun and can pvp.

Honestly tho, people who say WoW is easier as compared to FF11, probobly did not have a perma group, or people to exp with everynight. You could so get to 75 in 3 weeks or less if u have a perma that EXPs every single night, and sticks with it. WoW just makes it easier for those who don't have a perma group to exp with 24/7.

Wait until WoW has a more established economy and stuff like that.

Wait until you have twinks and PL.

Its only going to take less time to level up.

In DAoC at launch it took people like 2+ months to level up. After like 6 months it only took like 1 month. After enough time it only took 1 week and with enough dedication ive seen people hit in like 3 days.

The time it takes to level at launch is always the longest.

First off I had a perma from level 30-60 in FFXI and all it did was slow down my leveling (I am a bard). I waited for a full month without xping at level 60 before my perma finally broke and then I went about xping again (I was not happy as these people were my friends). Perma pts do not make you level faster because you have to party only when it fits everyone's schedule. Secondly I don't think anyone has hit 75 in 3 weeks in FFXI, 2-3 months is more realistic if it is your second job and you don't perma.

I played WoW during beta and what I gathered from it is that is very simple and straightforward in design. I play what is considered the easiest job to level in FFXI and I considered WoW much easier to level and play. You get freaking xp for discovering a city or doing a quest and you don't have to farm to get equipment you get the stuff from killing things you xp on or do quests. As far as PvP goes I can do ballista if I want (or just kill people in a FPS) and don't have to subject myself to the community of blizzard fanboy fucktards that plague their games online (diablo, D2, starcraft I played them all on battlenet).

The true downside to FFXI is that the Japanese started this game 2 years before us and have better latency also so they have a huge headstart and big advantage on claiming the NMs that drop the best gear. Competition in WoW mostly comes from large groups of alliance vs. horde pvp and that is nice but it is usually a zerg fest from what I have seen. WoW also has massive lag problems and has a ton of server downtime. I had a rogue backstab a monster I was fighting thus giving him the last shot and I received no xp. These kinds of things don't make me think WoW is so great anyway despite it being easy.

Maybe if you already have 1 75 jobs, and enough gil and mission/quests done to support it.

Few nas on ifrit already have like 2-3 75 jobs or more, including myself. (blm, mnk) But not even people like Skye (who has like 3 75 jobs now, lvls crazy and probably also the fastest person I know) could not do it in a month.. if he does he would have like 8-9 jobs 75 already.

And the realistic part is, at th same time, some of you over in WOW already have 3-4 lvl 60s already, yet never made to 75 or do the end game stuff in ffxi.
