You'll be dissapointed with shaman when you find out that they aren't unstoppable like everyone thinks they are. They're pretty boring to play too outside of pvp.

Good thing that's a test realm though, and not the way the game really is yet. They probably just need to calibrate the hit/miss with the new thing where it goes against defense skill instead of level.

Shaman and Warlock are my other two favorite classes but theres too many rumors of a warlock nerf and god knows blizz will never ever nerf shaman. I have a few shaman friends and they really like it. i have a low level shaman alt and hes cool so i dont think ill mind.

man... leave warlocks alone.

Seems every patch they nerf fear or something. I heard they are thinking about making soul shards stackable but I'm not willing to trade that for another nerf.

Sorry to hear about hunters. I played one in beta and it was fun.

Maybe I should make a shaman too :?

There were few things that actually killed my paladin in PvP one on one. One was a hunter and of course priests and warlocks owned me alot

Post on forums says they are investigating because Hunters aren't supposed to be nerfed.

I think the worst nerfs come when they game is first released... we wouldn't know that about ffxi though because we didn't get the game until a year after it was live. It's better to fix those things asap than to wait until people are use to it, then make a violating change their high lvl character...

Anyway, shaman to me, at lvl 51, is really fun for pvp, but grinding is the most boring thing ever. I can go afk while killing a mob just to check back and heal myself, then kill the next mob. You've got auto attack (with buffs, passive), shocks (6 second cooldown), totems (passive, once they're down you just watch) you rarely use chain or bolt lightning when grinding... so basically you autoattack and throw in some shocks, heal yourself when needed, and you don't have high dps so yeah.

Then again, I spec enchance so I can regen mana while I'm in combat... I'm sure if you didn't mind sitting every few battles, then elemental build would be more interesting.

They are fun for pvp though. The low mana pool means you can't take on very mana people in a row, which is sad... but to a certain extent I'm sure it's that way for all classes.

I also have julie's dagger, which is the worst investment I've made. 1.3 speed is fast and all, but such low dmg per hit... you're just pecking away at the mob waiting for it to die lol, it's ridiculous. And it breaks really fast using windfury.

So I'm playing warrior now, and it's a lot more fun.

With my warlock I fear mages > priests > shaman. Everything else is easy. Warlocks and hunters are a challenge but it comes down to who kills the other's pet first.
