| Post subject: | Rogue Weaponry |
So...Swords have been the established uber rogue weapon for quite some time now. However, Blizzard has increased Backstab damage, making daggers viable. Which one should I use? Let me give you my situation--I duo with another rogue and we are currently BOTH using daggers. We backstab back and forth, feinting if needed and killing efficiently. I don't claim to be anywhere near experienced enough with rogue to know what to use. What do you think? |

My friend is a rogue. He prefers swords mostly, I guess the higher dmg even though they're slower, is better for SS and evisc.. he opens with cheap shot, not the others, and he does very well in pvp and grinding. If he finds a really nice dagger though he'll use it instead. He wants felstriker and maybe heartseeker. When you get in the 45-50's go to maraudon and do the quest for thrash blade. ^_^ |

It's much easier to gain incredible epic swords later in the game than incredible epic daggers. However, I use both. BS heavy on bigger fights, sword on smaller. At the end of the fight switch to sword for more CP/energy to get off that final finisher. |

I think you should stop playing this shitty game and pick up Splinter Cell: CT or something else that will be challenging for longer than a week. |

erm.. dinav, daggers are 100x more common than swords in end game. let me refresh your memory - felstriker-alcor sunrazer-core hound tooth-gutgore ripper-heart seeker-pvp epic, vs swords: krol blade-blazing(cant remember exact name) pvp epic. gg. Anyways, this is how it goes, ponuh. Daggers- PVP, pvp, pvp. i dont care what noobs say, daggers are best pvp and worst pve weapons. Swords- PVE/PVP mix, great SS damage for both but you will never beat a dagger rogue of equal skill. H2H- Purely for the unique S&D build which i have customized, 100% PVE with no PVP traits what so ever; however, this build is only useful if you get the epic claw set. |

Counting SS build which is sword/mace: Felstriker is not a dagger you can count on. Gutgore ripper is not a dagger you can count on. Same goes for Core Hound tooth. I guess Perdition's blade, but that's a ragnaros drop, so let's not get our hopes up. And alcor sunrazer is total shit. It's an offhand dagger. If you can manage the money, you can get heartseeker. That's 4 good, actually gettable I guess, daggers. You can't just "get" any of the epic ones. If you have luck you can. Sword/Mace: Empyreon Demolisher from Kazzak Vis'kag the Bloodletter from Onyxia Krol Blade(boe epic) Mace of McGowan(Boe blue) Teebu's Blazing Longsword Dark Iron Reaper Dal-Rend's Tribal Guardian Dal Rend's Sacred Charge Sword of Zeal And for lower teir but still usable higher up: Bloodrazor Thrash Blade |

eh im dagger rogue and widely known as one of the best pvpers on server. i was never a fan of the SS/stunlock build. I use Barman Shanker in mainhand with lifesteal on it....heartseeker in offhand with crusader. dont get me wrong tho, if u can get ur hands on some of the endgame epic sword/mace one handers im sure its very powerful....im just not a fan. |

I use Krol Blade and a (shitty) Demon Blade of Power alternating mainhand, and Dal Rend's offhand. |

When instance raiding and grinding crap i use krol and assassination sword... when playing pvp in zzzzzzerg raids at tm i use searing needle and lifeforce dirk. Swords = no chance in mass pvp considering u got bout 3 seconds to kill somet before u get stunned dotted etc etc. So go for ambush backstab wait a tick evis vanish.. bout 4-5 seconds kills most casters. Paladins and warriors aren't even worth the effort. |
