Well, I made it to level 60 in WoW. Rekka - lvl 60 Human Warrior.

No SSs or nothing cause I'm lazy like that.

Took 16 days played it seems and I created it in early july.

Anyway we'll see how long instances and the like can keep me amused... Right now defintely wishing I had more friends to play with, since I made maybe 3-4 friends as i leveled up, and ... I'm now 20 levels higher than them...

Just look for a raiding guild, none of the new content has been completely conquered yet so there is plenty to do you just have to find the right guild to do it.

Um... Update time i guess...

I finished my orante Adamantium BP quest - http://www.thottbot.com/?i=17848

made me some Stronghold guantlets
http://www.thottbot.com/?i=24809

And am otherwise tryign to gear myself up for pvp... right now my chest and legs are my weakest spots pvp wise so I'm considering if I could grind to rank 8 for the pvp set even with poor gear.

pvp on my server seems sucky though. Its almost always just WSG and I've seen exactly 1 priest and maybe 2-3 druids pvp ever. While every match the horde has 3-4 shamans.

At any rate I've been having soem small success, but my crit rate is still a bit low ( only 20% in berserker stance) to be really successful. the Pvp BP/legs would prolly put me right at where I'd want to be... that and maybe either the Lionheart helm or pvp helm to replace http://www.thottbot.com/?i=18613

Lol, it's called an interface, something ffxi didn't use lol.

And no you can't remove it unless you're a professional screenshotist

Grats Vurin.

Definatly look for a raiding guild that is doing MC/Onyxia and the like. Mine on Khadgar just started doing MC and we're up to Garr and have just started to show interest in making a serious attempt at Onyxia. We're not very hardcore but it's a fun guild. Both of those can be extremely fun, Onyxia being the most fun I've had so far. Just keep at it.

1-level cap, what game is better, EQ2 or WoW?

what game is better at level 1? ... well in EQ2 you start at level 3 really.. lvl 1-2 are a boat tutorial... but in all hoensty that boat tutuorial beats the mini cutscene when you make a lvl 1 toon in WoW ( good thign you can skip it)

no what game was more fun to level through

Its fairly different imo.

WoW its veyr easy to level, which is good. I mean everything can be done by 1-2 people as you level up, and there's almsot alwyas plenty of quests and new areas to explore. The grind factor is relatively minimial and by and large fairly enjoyable.

EQ2 on the other hand despite havign solo content is ultimately far more about grouping to get things ( like leveling ) accomplished. I personally liek havign to group. Its a large part of the social impact of these games. When i amde 50 in EQ2 I had made plenty of friends ( and some enemies). In WoW I only meant 2-3 peopel I even remmebered, otuside of those on the server I knew prior. So even with EQ2 being mroe of a grind, and often having to LFG and such, I'd much rather do that than simply play with myself and once every 5-10 levels do an instance to clear some quests.

Some of this also has to do with the fact I play quite hardcore like. And I joined EQ2 along with every other new player, but WoW was well established when i started.
But even so I prefer to play as group, even if it is a crappy pick up group, over soloing for an extended period of time. And thus for equal time spent I enjoyed EQ2 leveling/grind more.

But Wow defitnely takes far less time to reach max level, and the quests that were available wer eusually enough of a carrot as a first timer to keep me playing even solo... for alts though I'm finding motivation sorely lacking even though I still have plenty of time to devout to them

there are 1,000,001 different interfaces you can download for wow, and allow you to have as many or few buttons as you like, i find i dont need access to more than about 20 things at once so i have a pretty simple looking UI, some like to find every single ability by pressing a button and have pretty scary UI's

Just depends how you like to play, your not forced into anything with WoW :)

Post subject:  Update

So here's the latest news of Rekka my 60 Warrior in WoW.

I joined a raiding guild not too ahrdcore, certainly not the best folks on the server, but good people, lot of potential, and I have a seemingly regular spot in MC even though I'm brand new, and some other classes notably mages, paladins, rogues, and hunters routinely can turn away 2-3 people fo that class a night.

I've only been with them a little over two weeks, but since i've been with them they've made significant progress. Having not wiped to any non-rag MC boss after my first night, and killing domo in what I gather is only their second attempt ( first with me).

They also had me tank Domo himself both times we've done him. Althoguh Domo melees like a girl, and they put me on him largely because I have the worst gear and thus would be harder to heal on an Elite the entire fight ( or so i assume) it still takes a fair bit of skill. I'm glad I had the oppurtunity to prove my mettle so early.

The first time I fought Domo I was defitnely overly reliant on my hunter backup to distracting shot Domo ( mad props to him for being on the ball), when he aggro'd wiped, but I'm proud to say the second time, the Hunter could just as well have not been there. Which isn't to say I don't have to chase him down a coupel times, but the hunter never pulled him back for me either.

Now just to work on living through the entire fight =) First time they put a lone subparly geared shadow priest on me... and she went oom quick and so I had to tank on borrowed heals, second time I got a real healer, but he somehow managed to get teleported when 2 elites were left ( and Domo's DPS picks up a little) and shield wall was down so I died there. All in all I'm glad they have me tank Domo instead of one of the elites. Its waaaaaaay more fun.

In short... maybe I should get a livejournal. hahaha.
