Post subject:  BWL Progress
About to log onto my sham and thought I'd post something on the forums about my rogue's guild's progress. We currently own razorgore, which is sad because we wiped to rag more times than we wiped to razorgore the last time we took them both down (shitty drops on both, how fun). Now we're on vaelestraz the corrupt, but we've actually almost gotten him down (and possibly took him down last night but I had to log from the raid early). Then there's broodlord lashslayer, he's a really noob fight, we'll kill him right after vael. Then there's ebonroc, he's also a huge noob, prob take 4 tries to get him down. After that there's chrommagus, he'll take about 2-4 weeks worth of attempts in my opinion. Then, there's Nefarius, we'll have him down by New years I hope, and most likely earlier. :)

Razorgore is a joke for Hordes, but man, it's freaking tough for Alliance. We are about to beat him though. We now have the strat for the eggs part. We just need to come out of it with some healers alive lol. I'm pretty confident about Vaelastrasz. I feel we won't take as long to beat him than we did for RG. The other boss up to Chromaggus are not that hard apparently, but Vael, RG and Chromaggus were intended to be the hardest fight in there, except Nafarian of course.

Razor isn't necesarilly easier for horde, just another way of doing it, need great execution to pull off the earthbind strat.

My guild is up to Broodlord atm, we've only tried him 2 times, we where gonna try him more but the servers started lagging the last 2 days of BWL raid timer really bad and it just wasn't worth clearing thru to Broodlord with so much lag (2k ms ftl).

What I like about BWL encounters its that they require near perfect execution, it only takes one person to screw up the entire attempt. Thus a good rule of thumb for such encounters is ... "Dont be THAT guy!".

Way to oversimplify stuff =) Needless to say there's a lot more going on than a simple frost shock, earthbind and kite 30 leggionaires (which is much easier said than done and is only one aspect of it) but yeah, I'm not here to argue, hopefully you'll down him soon, good luck! =)

aye nesso, we hit up Broodlord the day after i posted the thread topic. we almost beat him first attempt but a noob hunter took aggro (there is an aggro bug anyways so cant really blame him) and on our third try we got him to 30% but lost aggro control due to bug, again. we'll beat him this coming BWL timer for sure.

They've nerfed the hell out of BWL for horde.


They nerfed it for all, and the only nerf is for Broodlord which is basically a loot vending machine now. Razorgore, Vael, Drakes (after taunt hotfix) are all the same as 1.6, except for the 16 debuff slots. Oh and yeah Chromaggus was nerfed, but he was impossible to beat if you did not use exploits before so he doesn't count =P

We haven't taken him down yet...but we were told the hints by D&Ts.

We were told the hints by DnT too! Except it wouldn't work for us =P.

We got to Nef about 2 days ago ( we cleared BWL and killed Chromaggus for the first time in one night) so we have the full week to wipe and experiment and try to master stage one for us.

Biggest cockblock in BWL so far has been learning the positions for those buggy ass drakes >.<.
