Well... since starting on a new server, and joining a guild, we finally progressed to killing Nefarian.

Given how I seem to recall not too long ago you complaining about not having your ony key, this is exceedingly impressive. Good Job.

I am particularly amused because the top horde guild, and second best alliance guild on my server ( one of the oldest oens) have just this week beaten nefarion. These guilds were wiping in BWL before your server even opened =)

So once again great job, and I hope to see you pimpin' wrath some time soon =) And maybe get your priests out of them devout robes =P

Just out of curiosity what breaths did Chrom have? and what throne/gate colors did you have? Not that I'd think any less of you for having an "easy" combination just curious, what you had when you were learnign/beatign these encoutners for the first time.

yeah, we were definitley pretty fast paced, but its not like these bosses haven't been killed before. Strategies are out there, just a matter of executing them. :)

Oh, and as to the colors etc.
We actually beat chrommagg 1st week (right before 1.9 came out), then instances reset after 1.9 came out, so we fought chromagg again, and then that week we got nef too.

1st chromagg fight we had time lapse and incinerate. lets just say for a first time, it was tough. :)

2nd chromagg fight we had time lapse and corrosive (BAD combo :( )

and for 1st nef fight, we had Black and Red dragonspawn. I dont know nef fights too much, so I don't know if it was a bad or good combo... but it was still tough. :)

Wow Grats Tooyoo! Now you gotta start working on AQ next, which should hopefully be a nice new challenge. Did you get Wrath body btw?

I also started on a new server last month, with some old FF friends, and currently we are leading the horde side. We got to domo 2nd week of MC, so hopefully we can down rag and get into BWL soon. Grats again man!

We haven't had a lapse Corrosive in a while, but isn't lapse good in that it gives cororsive time to wear off? Or rather the healers can use the lapse time to insure he's topped off and shit, and if he happens to die your warriors should already be more than prepared to transition in ( unlike with say a non-lapse chrom where there's no threat reduction). I dunno... I jsut find lapse = one of the easier breaths.

Unlike say Corosive incinerate where the tank is just constantly being raped by damage I know our healers cried a river during that chrom. now we mroe or less just stoneshield pots for corrosive and call it a day, but back then we were more or less pot free for everything except nef ( which the MT gets a flask for if the phase 1-2 transition goes smoothly).

We've got a few Ony kills and we're tearing up Hakkar hardcore and we're just starting to make serious attempts at Rag, however I have yet to go on any of the runs cuz I'm a fricken n00b.

Cyntari has me beat though cuz she can commit more time to the game. She's gone I think to MC a couple times and She was in ZG last night...sorry we kidnapped her >_<

Grats on the Nef kill, can't wait to start getting geared up and actually attuned to these places. Bet you guys will tear up AQ when ya get the gates open.

Yeah, I don't know how hard no-lapse is yet, since we haven't had it. :)

But lapse does get annoying to do the tank-transitions whenever aggro gets transferred to someone else. We'll see how it goes this week. But even with corrosive-lapse, the tank still has to be healed through corrosive, so its not really THAT much diff than corrosive-incinerate.

Oh, and I didn't get chest of wrath (our GM/MT got it). But that's just how the point system went anyway, heh. My turn should come up soon :D.

Oh and the cow, is the leftovers from the mage-call (where they polymorph other players) and there's bugs where sometimes the polymorph stays, but the person can still have full control of their character. Really fun stuff. heh... i got stuck as a grub once.

heya koda, grats on the breastplate.

Oh and speak of the devil vurin... we did get corrosion/incinerate this week. It wasn't as hard for me... heh (i'm a 2ndary tank) but the healers sure had to wake up for the fight.

And for nef, we got red/blue. Not my fav. combo, but I think its better than red/black. We should be able to down him tonight. :D

Nah Yarr all MMOs reward people who have no life. Look at all the body abj KFC got from not having a life pre-patch. You get lots of shit in game if you have no RL and play the game like it is a job. Same goes for any MMO.

Not to mention DKP is a player created institution. WoW itself has nothing to do with DKP. Players and guilds decide to use DP as way or fairly distrubiting loot.

Yup... exactly like Eternus and Vurin stated..... DKP is a system developed by the players, not the game itself. In fact, loot can be distributed by the usual random system.

But in general, a DKP system is best for the guild, ensuring that the better equipement goes to those that raid the most, and therefore, it will be used most to achieve even better gear.

Just the typical MMO grind....

Grats on the kill.

Trick we found with Corrosive was to have your healing cycles double heal during it. Slight overhealing happens, but it's not long enough to worry. After they patched Chromag to no be killable on the ramp[Read: Easily], we had something like 9 or 10 strait weeks of Time lapse. We never knew what it was like to NOT have time lapse...but we got *really* good at dealing with it, and using it to wipe our aggro, etc.


And our guild doesn't use DKP. Merit with good leadership can do what DKP is supposed to do much better. Hard part is getting the good leadership.

Well, we just did our scepter quest in BWL :)

From engaging vael, to downing Nef...... 2 hour 50 min.

And it's our fourth clear of BWL too. :D
