we were playing free hand ball or some shit like that in PE today, its like b-ball but u shoot at the wall not the hoop, and u use a mini soccerball thats like 5x as heavy

well anywa, i chose to be goal person, and my coach (X pitcher) decided to play, and he threw the ball at me, at least 45-50 mph, and it jammed my finger, i played the rest of the game w/o thinking much of it. and at lunch i noticed it was swollen like a mofo, and was turning black, so i went to the nurse and she said i broke it... well thats jes dandy! so now i got a broked'd pinky and its fat,black, and it hurts

anyone know what i can do for a broked'd pinky?

Ice, and ibuprofen (sp?) aka asprin. That and a doctor mite either buddy tape it w/ ur ring finger or just put it in a splint. Or if u have a boxer's fracture in the pinky bone in ur hand the worse thing they would have to do is pin it. But that break usually happens when ur punching someone or fall on ur hand when its in a fist.

Now the nurse can not tell if its actually broken w/ out an x-ray and if u pinky really is swollen it can be hard to get a good x-ray out of it. You may just have a bad sprain. But untill you are able to see a doctor I would suggest Ice for 20 minutes then take a break and 45 or so minutes later ice it again. Also take asprin as noted on the bottle. The asprin will help with the pain and swelling. And the ice will help keep the swelling down. You really can't do much untill you see a doctor

Yea and w/ what Devrim said, everytime I have busted a finger thats what I usually have got from the Doc's. Its actually pretty nice bc u can take it off and still have mobility w/ ur finger.

i did have any popsicles, but we did have chop sticks, so i used that. and today the swelling went down but now my finger is all purple, my friends say it looks like a brooze, so i dont think its broken, i jes think its badly sprained

that sucks ike when you get a busted finger and you should be glad its not your middle

haha, playing football in high school as a lineman led to many broken fingers for me. My fav. though was my middle finger. U can't get in trouble for flipping off teachers then

i think ima tape up my midle finger on monday and tell my teachers i broke it ...
