i personaly would go with a MIVEC Turbo charger but its already a step higher then the one you have so its all the better for you to get if you can work out a decent price. However, questions to ask that are very important would be the following:
- how many pounds of boost is he running / has been running on it?
- has the engine been forged; semi-forged / complete rebuild (rods, pistons, crankshaft) *(overbore?)*
- has the head gasket been changed from the stock one
- have the sam shafts been changed
- has he changed his MAF's (Air Flow meters)
- has he dyno tuned the car

these are important questions that can help you preserve the life of your engine in the long run and give you piece of mind.

if im not mistaken the ralliart lancer comes stock 2.4L inline - 4 engine with 87mm bore 100mm stroke 9.5 compression ratio over head cam and 4 valves per cylinder. a stock engine of that magnitude cannot handle 13+ pounds of boost without some forging or at least a change of minor things such as cams and head gasket.

however if it IS in fact rebuilt / forged i would recomend just changing turbo charger to a ball bearing turbo from Garret, HKS or TRUST GReddy. a Small turbo like maybe a GT-SS wont cost you a lot and is direct bolt on and is much more efficient, smoother cleaner and more preformant. if you can do the work yourself you can have one of those for like 600$ slightly used or maybe less depending on how desperate the guy is to sell it lol. And you can also sell the MIVEK turbo for a good amount on a lancer forum or ebay

but bottom line is if the guy tells you he wants to trade your stock OZ for his ralliart and only ask you for like 1000$ more id do it. but remember use your judgement. take mileage into consideration how long he has had his turbo on it and how much he is boosting. find that stuff out and lemme know, ill tell you how much you should pay more for the exchange. if he is rediculous and says something like 2k+ then keep yours stock and just add your own turbo and intercooler for like 1500$

- btw matti nice impreza. love the white one my personal favorate. how much wheel HP you running at ? any mods ^^

I love your car Matti! STI's are fucking sweet. They tear it up on the autocross road course races I go to here. I like how both you and Milamber have cool sports cars. I need to find me a girl that's into cars lol.

For real. I am the luckiest man alive. haha She's into cars AND plays video games with me - It couldn't possibly get any better than this.

My car has Invidia catless DP, GReddy Ti-C cat-back, SPT intake, COBB AP (Stage 2). I'm running 17.5PSI target peak at about 3500 RPM but I usually peak at 18.4. My friend that has an '05 (2.0L vs. my 2.5L - only difference) put down 263AWHP and 291AWTQ but that was on a Mustang dyno so you know... lol

not bad matti you must have a blast with those civic fags who think theyre fast lol. im impressed but the TI-C you have (I have the 4" TI-R power extreme 2 ^^) sensational exhaust system cant get better then that imo. btw curious matti, are you using a manual boost controller or computer?

Check out my friend's Civic. This thing looks stock on the outside lol. The song is annoying...but this was earlier this month (in AZ at Speedworld) and the vid is all the same night. He just kept getting faster and faster (eventually hitting high 10).

I don't think I'd be getting "cheated", this guy owns at LEAST 4 or 5 vehicles, and I'm sure that his Ralliart is probably the one he LEAST uses since I'm fairly sure he still owns his Evo 4, not sure what his other cars were, but he most likely still has them, or possible something better by now, can't honestly say atm.

Anyway, I'll see what the whole deal is this weekend and keep everyone updated~

V never assume people are being honest. no one will do something that screws themselves over. find out why he is being so kind to exchange a fairly tuned Ralliart for a OZ thats stock. theres a reason unless hes just a fool or family. if his engine is blown or has low compression it will need a rebuild which can cost around the area of 4 - 10,000$ (but probably closer to the 4000$ mark considering its an inline 4) if that is the case. tell him to add 2k for an exchange, take the car to a good tune shop add maybe another 1.5 - 2k buy a Tomei or HKS stroker kit (pistons, rods, crankshaft and seals) have them install it and just sit back and watch your car waste 90% of everything on the road :D

1) He's been a friend of mine for well over 6 years now.

2) I'm fairly sure he wants the stock OZ because he has a long commute to work (About 45+ minutes from what his brother told me) And he wants to have a more "efficient" vehicle for work purposes since all of his cars are pretty much for "play".

The Ralliart is so fucking badass :D

I just got it yesterday, friend stuck around til about 2AM, and then we went out to some good roads, he got it up to 130 like it was nothing...seriously, with as much effort as I would put into the OZ Rally getting it to like 80-90 on the highway, he blew right past.

It's hard to believe it's actually mine now~ I'm very happy with it... I don't think I've stopped /grinning since yesterday, haha/
