Well Sony Pictures is releasing a new trailer on the 17th on MTV. Rumor is that its going to have a clip of Venom at the end, but probably probably nothing too detailed.

I personally think that they are going to do something to ruin it. Venom was a great story arc that I enjoyed reading. I realize they have problems making characters in CG totally black, but I really dislike the textures they gave to Spider-man's black suit and now it looks like they are doing the same thing to Venom.

yah I agree I really liked the smoothness of the black suit with the cool white lines in very small areas to contrast it, could've done a lot of really cool shit with shadows and whatnot, but this stupid netting over mesh crap looks ghey.

Yeah brock is suppose to almost an evil opposite of Parker. So while parker is a little skiny do gooder, brock is suppose to be an big evil do villian. However, they cast Topher Grace in there because he is populare with the demo audiance that SM3 is looking to hit.

I suppose in casting a pansy they're looking to take the char in a different direction and show this guy as a parallel for pansy spiderman and show what peter parker could have become if he decided not to be a good guy.


Then again I don't know anything about spiderman, feel free to make fun of this post.

Its also worth mentioning that this picture was also released (see below). This is Harry Osborn as his version of The Green Goblin.

Its horrible I know. I mean seriously, if the movie writers tried to put this kind of crap in a comic book they would be hung, drawn and quartered.

They easily could have made him creepy mask (that would actually look scary) and then cover the rest of him up by a worn down purple cloak.

I mean honestly, they probably spent like 100,000 on the Green Goblin costume in SM1 when they could have made a much better one for 100 bucks.

Yeah, and I realize you cant just go and easily convert a comic to live action with out it looking lame or stupid

I mean this is probably what the Green Goblin would look like if he came to life. (well the most simple versin of GG atleast)

Im pretty sure its legit rein. They had it on 'Aint it cool news'.

Personally I always looked at the Spider-man alien costume as if peter was wearing the alien over his old costume. I felt like Venom and Carnage were more of the Alien manifesting itself through a person.

Spider-man looked like Peter Parker with a Black Spider-man costume on. As if Peter Parker was the one in control over the two (and he was mostly). Venom never really looked as if he was wearing a costume. It was more like the alien took him over and that what he looked like now.
