The only think I know about this is that "Peter" from Heroes is playing Rocky's son. Ive never seen any Rocky Movies in my life nor do I ever plan on watching any. Dont tell me they are "classic" movies. They might be if youre American, and I am not. Im Canadian, thats just a Pretend American. |

Italians here in ny think its the best thing in the world, one of the best and most inspiring movies ever. I know what this movie is about lol, because my italian friends have made sure the bases are covered lol. |

Rocky is awesome. Anytime I watch a Rocky movie I want to go and work out for like 3 days straight. Well, I don't actually do it...but I WANT to. I don't know what it is about Rocky movies, but they are just so fucking uplifting because we get to watch Rocky struggle against adversity and still come out on top. lol, I wrote a report about Rocky in one of my film classes a year or two ago, here is a snippet: Quote: Rocky represents what could happen to any working class man if he works hard enough. He could realize the American dream: a loving family, money, success, and the chance to make a better life for your children. Rocky works at being a successful boxer, but the ambitious nature of the character could be translated more generally into an “everyman” who lifts himself up by his bootstraps and perseveres to realize his dreams. America is considered “a country of opportunity,” and the theme of Rocky translates well to the American population: if you work hard enough you can defeat adversity and attain your goals. The success of Rocky and it’s subsequent sequels is due to the universal appeal of Rocky Balboa and his rise to fame, which reflects the mythic American Dream.
plus the fact that he's borderline retarded and STILL manages to come out on top. Gotta love Rocky. |

Gotta love Rocky. ditto. I love the Rocky series (except Rocky V). Watched Rocky III while getting my first Tattoo lol. Also, one of the few movies where the "minority" isn't Black or Mexican |

my friend has some testimonial in his movies section on mysapce about rocky, some shit about how for a long time he couldn't cry and even went through some really difficult shit where he wanted/needed to but couldn't and then watched rocky and it made him cry and changed his life.. pretty crazy if you ask me, I didn't cry at rocky, nor can I think of a part that would make you. and I like all rocky movies but personally find the first 2 to be pretty slow and boring, 3and 4 you get all the action.. best shit of any rocky movie was when apollo creed dies.. its like best of the best all over again |

But it ain't about how hard you hit... it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward this quote is awesome <3 Rocky Balboa: What is it you said to the kid? The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very rough, mean place... and no matter how tough you think you are, it'll always bring you to your knees and keep you there, permanently... if you let it. You or nobody ain't never gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit... it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward... how much you can take, and keep moving forward. If you know what you're worth, go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit |
