I know Rein posted the first one. The same page actually updated it on friday, I had just stumbled back onto the site today. Movie's looking better and better. http://mftm.blogspot.com/2006/09/300-2007-promo-trailer-scoop.html

I thought this was going to be a somewhat realistic account of the battle at thermopylae, but there are some clips of fantastical creatures like ogres and stuff. looks like they are mixing a historical account with some fantasy influence. looks cool.

I really like Troy. I know nothing about how those events were really supposed to happen, so I was happy.

From the 300 trailers I've seen, I know I'll enjoy the movie. I like those kind of movies.

It was like pissing on Homers grave. A prime example of someone bastardizing a great piece art

Its based on the 300 comic series by Frank Miller. Its not a "bastardizing" of the story. Its the comic book version of it.

Unless you're talking about Troy, too.

I took a class one semester that was 2 hours a day 5 days a week on it. Go take your e-penis elsewhere.

Im going into 300 open minded cuz i haven't read the comics. It is just too easy to dump a lot of cgi into these things just to make 500mil at the box office. I would rather be captured by the story then 45 seconds of cgi

Yeah the dialogue seems a touch weak. The bearded guy screams Sparta a lot and besides that there's not much else. I have never seen Sin City so I don't know this comic dude's style or anything.

Actually 300 is a follow-up in the style of Sin City, that is it is filmed 100% in front of a green screen. It's a new fresh way of making films because principal photography can wrap in under 20 days (it only took Sin City 18).

Yeah. Here's what Rodriguez says about the new technologies:

"This is the future! You don't wait six hours for a scene to be lighted. You want a light over here, you grab a light and put it over here. You want a nuclear submarine, you make one out of thin air and put your characters into it."
